Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pacer Runner Shorts - Women's:
I've been on a neverending quest for the perfect pair of running shorts. It might be over...I just took the Pacer Runner Shorts out for a testdrive and I DID NOT spend my run pulling the legs down to cover my thighs or adjusting a waist that kept riding up. They are roomy and long enough and the side slits provide enough of a glimpse of thigh to make me happy when I catch my reflection in the storefront window passing by.
I'm usually on the small end of a small/medium spectrum. The small was too tight around the legs. I bought a medium.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pacer Runner Shorts - Women's:
Amazing how most shorts that seem perfect on a one or two-hour run suddenly cause chaffing from the interior liner after a few hours...not these! Absolutely lightweight and nonconstricting. The medium, my usual activewear size is loose and long enough for those of us who don't want to run in short-shorts. Two tiny issues: My waist is average-slim, and yet the exterior drawstring is too short to properly tie, so it must be secured into a funny-looking and hard-to-undo knot. Also, the "black" is really a dark grey...I actually prefer this color but others ordering black may be disappointed. Neither issue changes my 5-star rating for literally the most comfortable running shorts I've ever used.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pacer Runner Shorts - Women's:
I bought these because they were long and I needed something longer to hike in that would breath and be sturdy as well. It was just a plus that I could also run in them. Hiked in warm weather for 10 miles and they were wonderful. No binding, no sliding, and very breathable. I have also run in them. They are very very comfortable, light weight and breathable (said that already) but they are. If I had to say anything negative it is that the drawstring is on the outside, but doesn't hinder performance just bulk in the front.
I bought two pairs and also have the skorts in the same material.
