The Mountain Hardwear Spire 2.1 is a lightweight expedition tent with a high strength-to-weight ratio and a compact, 2-person design. Its rugged construction rebuffs gale-force winds and snow.

  • Spire 2.1 boasts Evolution Tension Arch technology, dual doors and vestibules and a trail weight of less than 5 lbs.
  • Evolution Tension Arch: panels of low-stretch fabric along the pole connection arcs reinforce the pole structure and stabilize the tent in 3 dimensions
  • Atlas Scandium XL™ poles are very light, super strong and completely field serviceable without tools
  • Additionally, these tough XL poles come with subzero Shok™ cord and heat-treated aluminum threaded pole tips
  • Trim floor design fits well on narrow ledges and snow platforms; clip set-up aids high-wind pitches
  • Internal guy system provides additional rigidity to the structure by creating resistance to the flexing and deformation of the frame
  • All exposed seams are welded or taped for waterproofness—there is no need for seam sealing!
  • Durable welded zipper flaps permit easy ventilation; watertight door zippers ensure a dry interior
  • Large stake out loops accept both skis and snow pickets
  • Bar-tacked stress points add strength and durability; bias-bound zippers allow ease of use and extended zipper life
  • Welded mesh storage pockets help keep things organized inside
  • Other technical features include reflective guyout loops, welded guy clip anchors and superlight 1/4 in. buckles and webbing
  • Reflective starter points make setup in the dark a breeze
  • Poles and footprint (sold separately) pitch without canopy for an ultralight shelter
  • Includes stuff sacks, aluminum Y-pegs and guyline/tensioners
