Comments about Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent:
I have been very impressed with this tent. I first tried a bibler tent. Although they are very well thought out tents,it did not breath as well as I thought. I tried my EV2 in the summer of 2008 in hot muggy ohio. It was warm in the tent to say the least, but there was not a drop of condensation anywhere. I also slep outside when it was 15 degrees in november without any condensation. During both outings, I had the multiple vents wide open. It is extremely easy to set up and take down, which is an advantage when it is very cold outside. The integrated vestibule is small, but allows for more usable space in the tent. It is very stable and strong. I am very excited to test it in the mountains of Idaho this summer.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent:
After 15 years of camping in a cheap REI Half Dome, I finally decided to spend some serious cash for a bombproof mountaineering tent. I was impressed by, among other things, REI's assertion that the seams did not need sealing. Ha. During its first storm deep in the Frank Church, the Ev-2 leaked like a sieve. And I don't mean that it dripped water; there were RIVERS flowing from nearly every point on the tent. For the next trip (King's Peak) I put on two layers of seam sealer. A light rain caused the same result: water an inch deep on the floor within an hour. I ended up borderline hypothermic. That's now two trips ruined by this expensive piece of junk. I expected better from Mountain Hardwear.
