Comments about Mountain Hardwear Switch +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I'm 5-11 with a 44-inch coat chest size. For over a decade I haven't zipped my sleeping bags up all the way because I can't stand not being able to easily move my arms from near my head to my hips (I've just used them as heavy blankets). With the Switch +20 "quantum expander" unzipped, I get a 70-inch chest girth, which is enough that I can move my arms and actually roll over inside the bag. This is not as warm because there's more surface area through which to lose heat, but it's the only way I use the bag. Even on a night when it snowed, I was comfy with some heavy fleece layers on. I love it.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Switch +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I just hiked a 50 mile section of the AT and this was my first experience with the Mountain Hardwear Switch 20. It went down to at least 35 degrees one night and maybe more but I was quite toasty in the bag. I just cinched the hood up a little tighter and the warm air stayed in. I had a little trouble moving around but that's me. The next night it was a little warmer so I opened the draft tubes for more room and to bring the temp. down in the bag. It did a great job. It's a little hard to get this bag small so I would recommend a compression sack. It has a lot of loft!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Switch +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I had this bag on a fire crew and I sought it out to purchase it for my own. I love the fact that it has the 'draft tube' so that you can cool off or just have more room to stretch. One of my biggest 'peeves' with sleeping bags is feeling like your are in a swaddle cloth; I have wide shoulders and hate feeling constricted. Maybe I am the minority, but I enjoy twisting around and moving a lot in my bag... I never stay still, this bag allows me to do that.
The degree rating is fair; I recently camped with it and the temp got down around 20s at night with fair humidity, I was warm where I was touching the bag. I have slept with this bag in warmer conditions on fires with the tube open and been very comfortable all night; not sweating.
As its been mentioned before it needs a compression sack; it has a lot of loft and can get pretty small but needs some jamming and pulling to get it there. Just buy it, you will love it!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Switch +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I am just over 6 feet tall and weigh 215 lbs.
I have tried roomer bags (usually 66-70" girth)This bag is 64" girth when fully closed, 72" when the "expander" section is open.
I was happily surprised that I felt comfortable when the expander was closed. The cut of this bag just seems to work with my body. When I opened the expander, I had more than than I really needed.
The only reason I have not rated this 5 stars is the fact I have only used it down to 36 degrees so far. I was warm, and the hood and draw strings worked well.
Once I try it in colder weather, I will update this review. Wost case is I will get a bag liner to warm it up a bit if needed.
I am going to use this bag for a long time!
Service and delivery comments:
Ordered it and had it delivered to a REI store. I got it a few days earlier that promised!

I fell asleep in my hammock with this bag one night and it started raining,(my buddy says i was it rained for an hour before i got in the tent) the bag never let water in and never lost any insulation. you won't find a better deal!
