Works great. I use it at work to prevent leaks and multiple trips to the restroom.
Always wear light back up until you are really good at using it.
The other reviewer is incorrect about the size choices. The description tells about who should use what size.

Comments about DivaCup - Model 1:
I've had my Diva Cup for 3 or 4 years now and I love it. It's durable, easy to clean, and much more comfortable for me than pads, tampons, or the disposable cups. It's a very well-made product. I've even experienced a significant decrease in cramping since switching. I've used the Diva cup in daily life, on 14-hour flights, in the backwoods, and just about everything in between. I always feel cleanest at that time of the month with a Diva Cup.
Potential cons: It's a bit tricky to empty/clean when you're out in the backwoods (I've had the best luck with biodegradable baby wipes) or in public restrooms. If you don't insert it correctly it can leak a little bit (just take a few extra seconds to check to avoid this, and make sure you buy the right one).
Kudos to REI for picking up on this great product for all the female outdoors enthusiasts - I've been recommending the Diva Cup to friends and strangers for years and now I can point them to an easy place to buy one!

I've been using the DivaCup for over a year now and I love it. It's way more comfortable than tampons/pads. It doesn't interfere with your natural flow or fluids as it sits low and just catches your flow. Unless you're really heavy you can put this in and not worry about for up to 12 hours later with no leaks. It does take some time to get used to putting it in correctly, but if you give it a chance you'll love it. It also won't get stuck inside of you. It may ride up over time but if you relax it's easy to get back out.

I am the last person my friends would expect to write a review for a feminine hygiene product, but, I just had to comment on this. My mom recommended this to me since my husband and I go on extended backpacking trips / travel remotely a lot. I was skeptical at first and it DOES take a LOT of practice, but it works! I fear the reviewer who got it stuck inside may have misused it. My only warning would be using it on heavy days while walking/scrambling on difficult terrain. A lot of movement does seem to shift it around, causing leaks. However, I'll take that risk over carrying (and then carrying out) pads or tampons. Hint: if you are going to be backpacking, practice using it while standing up/squatting (the shower works for this) to be sure you'll get it right while out in the woods. Be sure to practice with it before setting out on a long trip!

This product is GREAT! I was extremely skeptical about using the Diva Cup. However, knowing how much trash I produce from tampons and pads each month helped me take this leap. I've been an avid tampon user since I was 13 but I am never looking back. It's too convenient and comfortable.I read the instructions about 18 times before I used the cup and I'll be honest, it took me a few uses before I got it seated correctly. And it was a bit messy while I was getting used to 'changing' it. After 1 cycle, I was comfortable with the whole process. I'm sure that some people would be very turned off by inserting this cup. However, it's pretty much as 'invasive' as inserting a tampon without the applicator...but you only have to do it twice a day! It's great. And I can't say that I miss running to the store when I realize I've run out of tampons. (Changing it at a toilet with a sink within reach is definitely convenient)[*] with it in is a bit awkward. A good set of kegels will push it out part ways...but you can just push it back in.Basically, if you're too uncomfortable dealing with your own fluids or using your fingers, this isn't the product for you. However, anyone who is looking for a low-maintainance, eco-friendlier solution has found the best thing I know of.

Ok ladies! This product is awesome!
You have to get used to putting it in and rotating it but once you master that you are good to go. I have not had the opportunity to use it camping or changing it in a public place, but I've used it for every cycle for about 4 months and it is awesome!!! I normally jump into the tub and clean it out once a day, to minimize messiness. I never worry about getting my period. I was so sick of the tampons that would pinch if you insert them slightly off or the pads that leaks at night. You can feel proud that you are not contributing to waste in the environment. I have already bought one for a sister and friend. I will NEVER be without a diva cup. This is a must have!!!

I've had one for years, and it's still my favorite thing ever. It does take a little while to perfect your technique, but it's sooo worth it.

I had a similar device to the 'diva cup' that was called 'the keeper.' It was rated highly by some of my Canadian friends while backpacking in Canada. The 'diva cup' is an upgrade from my 'keeper cup' and I am so glad that REI has this available because it is so great for women. I only wish that REI would also purchase the 'whiz freedom' something I picked up from my European women backpackers. It is the best invention to women travelers since the diva cup, of course. I never venture without it and it accompanies me on all my wilderness excursions.

At first I was skeptical about using this cup and thought it was gross. But it is the best thing ever invented. It holds longer then a tampon or pad. Especially when you are traveling or hiking, or on a mission. This is the perfect thing. But also just if you are at home or not an adventurer. It saves MONEY! Get it! It's the BEST!
