The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Polar FT40 Heart Rate Monitor - Men's:
My Polar FT40 replaced another brand, Freestyle, that lasted 10 years. The Polar is only 2 years old and already it is having transmitting issues. The batteries are fresh, the strap is clean, the conducting pads are wet, but the transmission of my heart rate is spotty.

Comments about Polar FT40 Heart Rate Monitor - Men's:
Purchased this item about 9 months ago, and I sometimes wonder how I lived without it. I love being able to update my fitness level weekly with the push of a button. It works no matter what I'm doing, running, swimming, cycling, etc... Buy this!!

Comments about Polar FT40 Heart Rate Monitor - Men's:
Bummer.I'm disappointed and embarrassed that I was so trusting. OK, this was the first heart rate monitor I've ever looked at, so I was a little too trusting. When the Compare feature showed that it had three "Target heart rate zones", I should've looked further. As best as I can tell, it has two zones; it even says that in the product description - "•Zone lock keeps you in the right zone (fat burning or fitness)". Then I figured that with the "PC Compatible" feature, I'd be able to view graphical versions of my heart rate vs. time. Not so. First, in order to download the data into a PC, you need to buy the Polar FlowLink Data Transfer Unit (another cool $55). Then, with the online software[...] you can then upload your FT40 data, but you'll find that it consists only of high/low/average heart rate, time in zone (only 2 zones, remember), time-related items; no bpm vs time graphs or analysis. Now I'm feeling like I got taken. The hardware works exactly as advertised, even the FlowLink unit. Pretty much flawless operation, as far as I can tell. But the comparisons are misleading and the software is way short of what I expected.I must admit that I haven't gone and bought another program (PC Coach may do more), but it looks like I needed to go up to at least the FT80 to get what I wanted, but the FT80 isn't even on this site. I should've looked much further before buying.
