Comments about The North Face Twin Peaks +20 Sleeping Bag - Double Wide:
This is a great bag for family car camping. The shallow-looking loft is deceiving; it is quite warm, provided the appropriate sleeping pad is used. I may take issue with the 20-degree rating, though, thinking that 25 degrees is a bit closer to the mark. We used it in a cold northern Wisconsin spring and stayed warm enough bottoming-out at 28 degrees. Truthfully, there is even ample room for a toddler, yet it stuffs down to a very reasonable size. My only gripe is the drawstring/hood setup which doesn't create much of a hood at all (due to the double zipper, I'm sure). This is minor, considering that the majority of this product's use for us will be well-above these temps. All in all, I'm impressed and give this bag high marks.

Comments about The North Face Twin Peaks +20 Sleeping Bag - Double Wide:
My lady sandy use to hate hiking with me since she tended to get cold at night. However, since this purchase she has been asking me to go now...Plus it adds a little more adventure and excitement to hiking that you just can't get with single bags. :)

Comments about The North Face Twin Peaks +20 Sleeping Bag - Double Wide:
For two intimate seniors, the bag is surprisingly roomy. The compression stuff-sack is a plus.
I seriously doubt the 20 degree rating, but can't say we actually tested it below freezing.
If it had beefy, less finnicky zippers I'd rate it at max.

Comments about The North Face Twin Peaks +20 Sleeping Bag - Double Wide:
We were pleasantly surprised by this couples bag. It is very good for it's intended purpose, but wouldn't work for a hardcore trip. She says: "Nicely designed. Very warm for three seasons camping. The mummy shape is nice. The only downside is that the hood doesn't have a drawstring, so around the neck can cinch in but not the hood." He says: "I'm tall (6'2"), so I was surprised that it was actually long enough. It's bulky, but light, so it works for the car or canoe, but is definitely too big for backpacking."

Comments about The North Face Twin Peaks +20 Sleeping Bag - Double Wide:
If theter are two of you hiking into camp this bag is great. As a girl I carried this sleeping bag and my husband carried the tent. We were very comfortable sleeping in 50 degree weather and the zippers on both sides were nice in case we ever got too warm. We were able to toss the stuff sack it came with and used an XL REI stuff sack that packed the bag smaller.

Comments about The North Face Twin Peaks +20 Sleeping Bag - Double Wide:
My partner and I bought this for snuggling on camping trips, and we love it! It is warm and roomy. He's 6'5" and I'm 5'4" so we were a little worried that the size difference would make a double bag awkward, but it's worked out great. It's definitely too bulky and heavy for long backpacking trips, but I bought an XL Granite Gear compression sack that gets it down to a manageable size for a couple of days of hiking.

Comments about The North Face Twin Peaks +20 Sleeping Bag - Double Wide:
This is a great bag if you car camp in cold weather. Don't think about trying it in a backpack. I thought hey it's 6lbs, no big thing, two bags usually add up to that. I was wrong, the bag doesn't compress down enough to pack well. I own a Wiggy's -60deg artic bag that packs smaller. On average I add 5-10deg for bag to my sleeping comfort, not here. North Face really heats things up with this bag. The only way to really use this on the trail is if it were to unzip fully and each person could carry half. I'm going to return it. It is really roomy for a tapered double bag.
