This bag is simply an amazing value...most other zero degree bags are about twice the price, and I do not think any quality is sacrificed with the value.

It is ridiculously compfortable...I tested out in 20degree nights up in the Sierras and was almost too hot. One night in the mid teens was also toasty. Haven't tested to the true 0deg yet, but based on the experiences thus far I have no doubt this bag will preform.

This bag also has a partial length zipper on the other side of the main zipper which helps out when you need to vent a bit on warmer nights.

Performance-wise, I can find no flaws with this bag.

What seems to be the major tradeoff here vs more expensive synthetic bags is that it is "heavy". I put "heavy" in quotes here because I do not think 5lbs is extremely heavy at all for a sleeping bag. It's only "heavy" if you're a minimalist and are looking for something in the 2-3 lb range. I've compared to some lighter synthetic bags and while it might be heavier, it feels more comfortable. My buddy bought the North Face ShowShoe bag, which is also a synthetic zero degree bag but is almost twice the price....I like the Marmot Trestles way better. He paid more to save 2 lbs of weight, but I sleep more comfortable than him after the fire goes out.

With the included compression sack, the bag packs more than small enough to fit into the sleeping bag compartment on my bag, and most other bags for that matter. NO issues taking this bag backpacking. Only downside I have seen thus far is that it does take some patience [and muscle] to squeeze the bag into the compression sack...a minor trade-off since every other aspect of this bag is phenomenal.

Unless you're a pro mountanier and can justify a million dollar bag, this is definately the bag to buy.

Marmot, thank you for making such a quality product at an affordable price.

Side note: I'm 6'0" and am a perfect fit in the Long version which is rated for folks up to 6'6", I'm almost snug actually....if you're anywhere near 6 feet, it's worth upgrading to the long as I imagine the regular being TOO cozy.

This is an awesome bag. We used these down to about 15F and we were so warm we unzipped the bag halfway through the night. The construction is top notch and I don't think you can get a better 0F bag for the money. If you can't afford a 0F down bag, this bag is definitely the one to choose.

this product is amazing, cleans easily and effectively in a washing machine, super super warm all the time, the hood fits very well and is even comfortable to sit up with it on. i couldnt possibly recommend this item more. for the price and the performance this is a product that cannot be beat.

if you are even considering going with this sleeping bag you may as well just save yourself the time and get it you will not be disappointed.

I just recieved this product and I cant wait to use it! Its so soft and I got warm just having it on my lap looking at it. The stuff sack it comes with is a nice additive although it took forever to stuff it in there. This is the cheapest 0 degree bag I found with a REI 20% off and so far well worth it.
