I used this for travel abroad using just a carry-on. This took up way too much space since all that was in it was a few bottles of shampoo/conditioner, lotion, etc... I don't think all the padding is necessary, made it too bulky.

I received this as a Christmas gift over a year ago and decided to write a review as I looked at purchasing another one. I absolutely love it! It is perfect when packing for work or personal trips where you may be bringing the "extra" toiletries that would most likely be left behind for, say, a backpacking trip. I'm looking at purchasing another one (different color) at this same size, or the Ultimate size, for my fiance, who has been borrowing mine since his bag (the second or third one from a box store) fell apart. He really likes it, too.

It is probably not a great size for two people, unless you are both minimalists or are only away for short (weekend-ish) trips. However, we will likely be using this one for both of us on our 1-2 week motorcycle trip where we must be minimalists. This bag is the epitome of packing efficiency. It is also durable and very well constructed and still looks as great as it did when I received it.

I love this kit! I've taken it anywhere from weekend trips to a six week stint in Nicaragua. It carries all things travel size, with easy access/visibility to the items. I really like some of the small additions--the hook you can pull out to hang the whole kit up, and the mirror that pulls out.

I don't use this for backpacking trips (don't need any extra weight) but for any other travel purposes--car trips, flights, vacations--this is the best! I love mine and I'll be buying one for my best friend this year.
