    I have six of last year's version of the Sausalito, and absolutely love them. Wear one almost every day. So, I was really, really disappointed when I got a couple of these. The fabric doesn't nearly have the durable feel last year's version did. Already have some frayed spots in one of them. The fit's about the same, but because it has a much lighter feel, it doesn't drape as well.

    I still like these shirts okay, but they're a far cry from last year's version. Bring last year's back, please!!!

          Like another reviewer, I too loved the version of this shirt that was available last year. I went to REI to buy another one as my old one is stained. I was very saddened to see they changed the material and cut. The new version's material is far inferior and the fit is different too. Please, Please, Please, bring back last years model if possible.

            I too purchased many of the 1st and 2nd generation of this shirt. Around the 3rd time this came out, REI changed the cut, the sleeves are now too short for me. I used to LOVE how long the original cut was, but sadly I don't like the fit of this new shorter sleeve and won't be purchasing anymore of this cut. Please get the longer sleeves back from the original cut!

              I understand why someone who loved a previous cut might not like changes, but having several 1-star reviews gives an inaccurately low representation of *this* shirt.

              This is new for me so I can't speak to durability. With that in mind, the sizing seems accurate to the published size chart (the cut isn't tight and fitted but that seems appropriate for this style of shirt). I wouldn't care for longer sleeves, they would reach my elbows which is not a look I like in a short-sleeve shirt.

              Another comment about the fit: I have a relatively long torso but there is still enough material in the tail to tuck in if desired.

                I too have 4 of the previous version of this shirt and loved the wrinkle free durability and attractive styling of that shirt. I was thrilled to see some new colors and ordered one right away. I am disappointed in the last Sausalito Shirt that I bought. The fabric has a higher polynosic rayon content and it appears as a result it is not as wrinkle free. It also does not feel as substantial and the detailing on pocket and sleeve hems has been simplified and is not as attractive. I am disappointed that REI had an exceptional product and downgraded it.

                Bought this shirt for work, size small. Nice material and comfy are the positives. I have what I consider an athletic build but this shirt is huge on me. REI needs to remember that most of the people that shop their store are athletic and do not need the size inflation that the rest of the US population needs. I used to wear size medium in REI shirts, now I can barely fill a small. If they keep this trend going, I would ask REI to start making an extra small size for men. Maybe I need to start shopping the kids section...
