This is a great lightweight fleece hoodie. I would call it more of a sweatshirt than a jacket. If you're looking for a serious fleece jacket, then this might not fit the bill. But it is PERFECT for chilly evenings in summer - or even air conditioned restaurants and movie theaters! It will also be great for layering in the fall and spring. I love how lightweight it is - I hate the feel of bulky cotton or poly sweatshirts, and this is the perfect solution. Washes beautifully and fits really well. I'm 5'2" & 160lb, and the L is great - a very comfy, slightly loose fit. Not at all tight in the chest.

I already have two of these hoodies and am buying a third. It is by far my favorite fleece - and I have many. I love the fact that it is not bulky. It makes the fit much more flattering for every day use, and makes it an excellent layering piece under a rainshell for cool conditions, or under a warmer jacket for really cold conditions. I wear it running, biking, hiking, x-country skiing, and for casual wear. I have to disagree with the reviewer who said it was "not warm". It depends on what you are expecting. It might not be as warm as a really thick, coat-weight fleece, but for its weight it is one of the warmest clothing items in my pack. I am 5'6", athletic 145 lbs, and for me the medium is a perfect fit. I especially like the room in the shoulders and length of the sleeves and torso - long enough to eliminate cold gaps. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for this one; really no negatives except I wish they would come out with a version in a wheat/taupe color.

Wanted to like this, but I have similar fleece hoodies that are much warmer. I simply compared two hoodies while wearing inside - no extreme cold temps. and simply no comparison. I could not warm up with the Wilds and did when I put the ol faithful hoodie on which is an older REI product which they no longer make and can't seem to match. I am 5'4" 140 lbs and I find the chest tight, but waist OK. I call that form fitting but with some slack. It is borderline fit for me and I prefer things a little looser. I could handle the fit if it had been warmer. Taking it back.

I LOVE this sweatshirt! Plus the price is just right, no need to go for a pricey sweatshirt when REI makes such a great product.

It's super soft and comfortable, and fits my long arms (which is a very difficult thing for me to find being tall and thin, I got a size S). The hood also fits nicely and is super comfortable.

I bought this sweatshirt to wear while working in the Wyoming backcountry, which I've come to find out that WY is super windy! On windy days I like to layer it under a rain jacket for some added wind protection, unless it gets too cold, then I switch to the REI Ladro Jacket I also bought for this trip.

Both of these are super durable...and I usually wear this jacket to sleep during cold nights as it is super comfortable and soft!

I haven't noticed any problems with the stitching or the zipper, it fits great.

Just picked up and was looking forward to this Lavender Hoodie. The color/fit/style are perfect. But it is very thin, too thin for the price. I would expect to pay $21 for something this thin. Prefer the standard right zipper which this has.
My Arbor Assault Hoodie is a much better deal for the same price. My REI White River fleece jackets are thicker, by 3 oz. also around the same price. Not sure if I will keep this jacket.

I have only worn this jacket for casual wear so my review is more about the fit. I am 5'2'' and 115 pounds. I have more of an "athletic" build and am often between sizes (small and medium) due to broader shoulders. For those who have broader shoulders, but would otherwise wear a small, this jacket is great! There's plenty of room in the shoulders and the torso tapers just a touch to provide a bit of feminine shaping (but is not snug or tight). It's a nice lightweight jacket that can be worn over base layers and underneath a shell.

I am always looking for lightweight jackets that I can use in the outdoors. When I took it out of the packaging I was a little scared that it might not be true to size, but low and behold it was a perfect fit that was not too snug or too loose. This hoodie is both warm and super comfortable. I really loved the hoodie and have no complaints about its wear or design. I was more than impressed with the quality and find it suitable for even the colder weather here in Ohio. I would definitely purchase another one I love it so much. I cannot wait to try it out on my next hiking adventure. If you are looking for a comfortable, warm, and durable hoodie this would be the item.

This light weight hoody is great for layering and very comfortable. Even though the description online said it was "black", the photo looked more gray. When it arrived I was pleased that it actually was gray. My only complaint is a slight imperfection in the zipper stitching that makes it kinda hang askew.
