I have six of the terrific previous version of this shirt, but the fit has changed for the worse! Gone are the shaped seams that made the fit so excellent and flattering. Ladies, unless your torso is shaped like a long cylinder, look elsewhere for a good fit.

I agree with the review that praised the previous versions of this Tee Shirt. The old fit was both more attractive and more comfortable, the fabric was deliciously thin - wonderful on hot days, the colors were terrific for summer. This one is too long, too think, it "hugs" the body in a way that is uncomfortable in hot weather, it isn't as flattering or attractive in color, I won't be wearing it for exercise or even casual wear in the hot sun.

REI changed the way this shirt is made. THIS IS NOT A GOOD CHANGE! The OXT T-s I have purchased in the past are AWESOME! They did not have a straight seem from the under arm to the waist and they fit much better.

I was very disappointed with this shirt and I am returning my purchase asap. The fit is all wrong. Used to be free-flowing now it is tight in all the wrong places. (Arms and shoulders). I wish I knew they were changing the best product they make because I would have stocked up on the older version which was 10 times better than the new.

Bottom Line: Don't waste you money on this.

    I've worn REI OXT shirts for years as a P.E. teacher. They were my absolute favorite shirts because they used to have a great feel, fit, and fabric. This new fabric is like Under Armor fabric where it clings even in an appropriate size. I can't wear that to school, and it's not as comfortable for gym use either. Very disappointing.

      I am so upset that they discontinued the old OXT tech tee and gave this new shirt the same name. This shirt is completely different than the old model - different fabric and tighter fit. I loved the old shirt's fabric and fit, and wish I had known they were going to discontinue it because I would have bought 10. I use these shirts for hiking. I will have to find another shirt brand to buy when my old OXTs have to be replaced.
      What a disappointment!!!

              As noted by other reviewers, the fit has changed from the earlier version, and not for the better. The body of the shirt is not particularly flattering, the sleeves are shorter, narrower and constricting, and the fit in the shoulders is too snug. Be sure to try this shirt on before buying, especially if you own and love the earlier version.

                I wear this shirt under unbuttoned REI Sahara shirts. I like everything about it, especially the longer length, EXCEPT the sleeves which are too short and tight. They should be a little longer and a little fuller, so the fit is more like a regular T-shirt, rather than like the nine zillion other fitted, short, tight shirts on the market. This shirt is nicely long and full elsewhere - make the sleeves match that fit. Then I'd wear it by itself, as well as under another shirt.

                  I bought this shirt for a trip to Europe. It will be easy to hand wash and won't wrinkle. The one down side is that the size L is 26 inches long. The price was good so I'm keeping it but will probably have to tuck it in.
