Comments about Outdoor Research BugOut Gaiters:

I previously used the desert gaiters, but these are perfect for bushwhacking. They are definitely worth spending a few dollars more for. They are rugged, fit well, and close snuggly.

Comments about Outdoor Research BugOut Gaiters:

Pros: easy to put on, clip in front works well to keep it in place, not hot, keeps dirt and fox tails out of low top shoes and socks very well. Shows no wear and were comfortable on a 14 mile hike.
Cons: Even with large size, top is too small around my calves so it worked its way down and was much more baggy around ankles than shown in picture. Worked really well once it settled to its preferred position. Makes swish/swish sound as they rub together while hiking. Does not protect shins and calves much in high brush.
