      I have the older version of this watch, and have been wearing it nearly everyday for 9 or so years. Looks like they've upgraded the alarms, and the wrist flick for the indiglo. This watch has been everywhere with me and truly is durable. I've dropped it and bumped it a lot and never a problem. I'm on the second battery, and that's with a lot of use of the alarm and timer. The only thing i've had to replace is the wrist band. I'm on the 3rd or 4th now. Mine slowly frays where the band doubles over. I find it worth it have to replace the band every few years for the positives...the band is flexible, so if you're very active it's much less likely to be irritating. Also if you fall or have to catch yourself the band can flex and give a little so metal never jabs your wrist.

      Great watch, very comfortable and durable. I have had it for about 18 months and the velcro strap has worn out and doesn't stay on very well any more. I have been looking for a factory replacement and have not been able to find one anywhere, not even on the Timex website. I am going to have to call Timex to see wha the deal is. Otherwise, this is the best sports watch I have owned.
