Comments about REI Polar Pod +25 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
This is definitely one of those gifts that keeps on giving.
I got this bag from my in-laws for Christmas and absolutely love it!
I have used this bag on both backpacking and car camping trips that have gotten below freezing and it has worked out great. Even below freezing, you start to sweat.
It definitely needs a compression sack to work better with my backpacking system.

I have no real complaint about this bag; however, I'm only 5'10" and there is just not enough length in this bag for anybody that's my height. In fact, I would say that if you're taller than 5'7", you better get the Long bag.
Other than that, you can't beat getting a good bag like this one for such a little bit of money.
I love REI brand products. If you're on a tight budget, REI is the answer!

Comments about REI Polar Pod +25 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
We camping in the back country of Wind Cave National Park in South Datoka and this sleeping bag worked great.
It rained over night for 3 days straight with temperatures that got down to 30 one night. I stayed very warm (actually too arm one night and slept in it half zipped). The edges of my tent got wet, but even though the end of the bag was wet I stayed dry inside.
I really like this bag and will buy another when my kids need a full size bag.

Comments about REI Polar Pod +25 Sleeping Bag - Regular:
I've only used this once so far, in September, in Southern California. However, it kept me super warm to where I had to open the bag at night.
It was very comfortable and I was glad to lie down after a long day of hiking. Being my first mummy style bag, I was impressed I didn't feel uncomfortable in it since my other trusty Coleman bag was larger and didn't have a hood.
Only complaint is the zipper can take a little getting used to.
I'll be using this in weather down to +30F next week, so I can give a better review after that.

purchased new bags for my 7-year old and myself. Have used several times, temps down to low 40's. We both thought the bags were plenty warm and comfortable. You can't beat for the price.

Great bag! Love the extra zipper to throw out one leg but keep the top zipped. This bag can get toasty. No serious complaints!
