The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer:
I am a daily walker 4 to 9 miles per day over set and known distances. In a months time I have had distance reading that vary from 10 percent under to 10 percent over the real distance. This is a problem as I like to explore and document alternative routes for future use. There is no method for setting stride as it authomately bases your stride on height and weight. I am six feet tall with 32 inseam and a stride that is additionally hampered by degenerative lower back issue. I do have a constant stride though in pace and distance. Do not like the reset at midnight feature. Prefer to be able to reset throughout excercise. Will return this product as I have found better reliability from other models. To bad because it mounts comfortably and is easy to read.

Comments about Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer:
This little device is easy to use (just two buttons, clearly explained in the instructions), and stores the data of the previous seven days in its memory. It really helps with meeting basic fitness/activity goals. I can't comment on the accuracy, since I don't personally count my steps :) The clock function is nice to have. I have two gripes: 1) It automatically resets the counts at midnight, but it'd be great if you could set the time at which it resets (I'm a night owl) 2) The design is a little bulky, small in diameter but jets out nearly 3/4 inch, which makes it quite conspicuous (not desirable for everyday use); I would prefer if they made it longer and thinner.

Comments about Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer:
This is a very easy to use and accurate pedometer. For the price it does just what I wanted it to do- keep track of miles jogged. It re-sets itself every day automatically and keeps track of miles logged on previous days in its memory. Great little device.

Comments about Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer:
Not only does this work well but it is very well made. After an hour in the clothes washer it didn't work at all. After opening the case (easy) and letting it dry it again worked perfectly.

Comments about Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer:
I wear this all day every day and love it! I dress up for work and the pedometer isn't noticeable except under very tight tops, but even then it doesn't bother me. I especially like that it counts "aerobic" steps in addition to total steps, as I like to make sure I get some brisk walking in every day. I also enjoy the seven days of memory, as it's fun to review my history and it keeps me motivated - if I take a day off it haunts me for a week! I researched several pedometers for an exercise study, and Omron has a great reputation. This model is simple but definitely does everything I could ask for!

Comments about Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer:
I picked this up shortly before starting school again and am finding it very helpful. It records exactly how much exercise I do, how far I walk and how many calories I burn so I can tell whether I'm getting enough activity for my health. If I didn't have the number sitting clearly in front of me, I'd easily let it slip under the weight of homework and classes.
Its best features are the multiple calculations it makes for every step. I especially like that it tells me how much consecutive walking I've done. It's so small and light, I just clip it on in the morning and go.
One thing to keep in mind is that it does count other movements as 'steps' so take it off if you don't want steps calculated in that never happened.
All in all, it's an extremely useful little device and I'd recommend it to anybody looking for a good pedometer.

Comments about Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer:
I liked the product a lot, but it often would stop working, and I never knew whether if ot would work during a hike or not. Finally, it just stopped working (counting steps). If it did not have a reliability problem, I would rate it PERFECT for my use -- measuring distance and calories during hiking! But it is annoying when the thing doesn't work.
