Comments about Essential Gear 4 LED Waterproof Strobe:

The light flashes for about a minute then goes to steady on. It should continue to flash/strobe. I have a defective unit right out of the box.

The light is not nearly as bright as I expected and it is much larger than it looks in the pictures.

REI's online description says D cell battery included, it was not. When I received it, the package clearly states battery not included.

REI's zoomed in picture of the bottom half shows a magnetic base but the product does not come with it.

The body is red, much less visible than the bright orange in the picture.

It is going back ASAP.
