Comments about Reliance Aqua-Clear Container - 4 gal.:
A little Teflon plumbers tape stops the leak the guy above was complaining about...or you can tip it up when you aren't using it.

you'd think for $[$] that Reliance would get the one thing right that eveyone wants out of a container like this...for it NOT to leak. well, they missed it. while yes; you can set it up or go through 'fixing' it with plumbers tape...but come on...who wants to buy something brand new that is already broken. go with another option.

Comments about Reliance Aqua-Clear Container - 4 gal.:
I read the reviews which mentioned the possible leakage problems and to use plumber's tape for the fix. Product still leaks from the main large screw cap, even after several wraps of plumber's tape. This baby is going back for a refund!

Comments about Reliance Aqua-Clear Container - 4 gal.:
This container worked as advertised after I "fixed" it before the first use. I had to use my pocket knife in order to remove excess plastic material left from manufacturing around the opening so the lid would seal watertight. Even the air inlet was surprisingly watertight although I stored it with the opening side up in the car just in case. I did not need any Teflon tape to seal the dispenser, maybe they improved the design, but I would definitely test it in the kitchen sink for leaks before the first use. After that it proved very useful. It does a good job of dispensing water on a picknick table or tree stump. Also does a good job for washing hands on campgrounds without a sink. A little bit pricey though.

Comments about Reliance Aqua-Clear Container - 4 gal.:
My spigot doesn't leak, but the large lid gasket is worthless and oozes water regardless of how tight it is screwed on. Hard plastic vent cap not water tight either and should be softer, tight fitting rubber-type plug. Poorly finished and expensive.

Comments about Reliance Aqua-Clear Container - 4 gal.:
Instead of a one-piece spigot/cap found in the Aqua-Tainer, this container has 1) a threaded spigot that 2) screws into the large cap. BAD IDEA!
It's impossible to seal the spigot securely into the cap; it constantly slips. While the large cap has a rubber seal insuring a leak-proof fit, there's no washer/seal around the spigot threads.
Drip, drip, drip.
