Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Footprint:
This is an OK/Acceptable footprint for the Kingdom 6. It fits under the tent as described and does what it's supposed to. The color-coded web strapping makes it easy to see which end matches the corresponding tent and fly ends (orange = back). What it doesn't do is cover the area under the fly/vestibule. Some people will consider this a plus since they want that area to be bare ground. For me, I like to take off shoes and leave them, along with other stuff, in the vestibule area. I find it keeps everything drier and cleaner if there's a footprint of some sort out there. You could bring along some sort of door mat, but that's just more stuff to remember/carry. I actually decided to make my own footprint for the tent. I found good video instructions online. I just needed to buy a size 1 grommet kit and web strapping - both available at REI in the store - plus a large enough tarp. I cut the tarp to fit just inside the tent's footprint - including the vestibule. Then I had 3/4" webbing cut into 8, 15" lengths at the REI store. Punching holes in webbing with the grommet kit is a little challenging, but totally doable, and once you've done that, attaching grommets is easy. I now have a perfect footprint that's no heavier than the stock one, plus it covers the whole tent floor area and the vestibule. And I have enough material left over to make a footprint for a smaller tent if I want. This stock footprint is definitely less work than my approach, and it would be a perfectly acceptable way to go, I just like my solution better. I returned it after setting up in the living room then changing my mind. My home-made tarp version cost ~$30 instead of the [$] for this one (seems pretty expensive to me).Grommet kit from REI: [@]

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Footprint:
I love my kingdom 6, but when I set it up the first time with the footprint, the grommets did not align with the tent poles. Like my Quarterdome T3, the idea is the poles go thru the grommets to make sure the ground sheet is flat and to prevent winkles. On mine, if I did this it actually bowed in the tent poles and put slack in my ten body (not good) in combination with the vestibule not being covered, reluctantly I will be returning this and making my own ground sheet from a tarp.

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Footprint:
This footprint does its job well and integrates with the tent as advertised. The only problem with the usual great REI design is that the mesh bag that comes with it is not designed to hold the footprint once it has been folded by a normal person. It was barely large enough to hold it from the factory, and once any air gets between the folds, it will not fit completely within the bag.

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Footprint:
As a tent footprint, it does the job. Seems waterproof, solid grommets, sturdy straps, pleasing earthy green color. But the stuff sack that it came in is a joke. It's obviously intended to store the footprint in - mesh, has a drawstring, and the instructions are stitched to the side - but unless you are in possession of the industrial robot that first folded this footprint in the factory in China, it will never again fit in the bag. It just barely holds the footprint folded tightly and perfectly from the factory, and is laughably small relative to a human-folded footprint, especially humans packing up at the end of a week of camping. I'll just shove it in with the tent package and re-use the mini stuff sack for other stuff.

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Footprint:
I would like to see the fly attachment to the tent better designed such as a piece of webbing and plastic buckles.
