Comments about Princeton Tec Amp 1.0 Flashlight:
this is an example of trying to fix something that isn't broke / this light is a remake of the Blast but added grams and removed the cap clip / the new loop makes it easy to attach to a pack with a carabiner but the blast has a small split ring that does the same thing / with out the cap clip this is just another hand held pen light / have been back packing for 50 years and have tried many lights / now the only lights I carry are two Blasts / one attached to the outside and a backup inside the pack / great for night hiking, working in camp, reading in the tent, night fishing, fixing things at home, car and boat / even have one atached to my bc when I dive / the Blast is lighter, better quality light and projects further than any of the LED headlamps that I have tried / easy to change batteries in the dark / 2 AAA 3-4 hours burn time / Princeton Tec make great products and still make the Blast / REI please bring back the Blast!

Comments about Princeton Tec Amp 1.0 Flashlight:
I bought a couple of these for my young children. The large hole allows for the attachment of a carabiner. With this I was able to clip it on to each of my children's belt loops and voila - no more lost flashlights. Additionally, the long battery life is also a plus with children.

Comments about Princeton Tec Amp 1.0 Flashlight:
it won't last! The first one I purchase didn't last a week. After little use the light just stopped working (not a battery issue). I exchanged the first purchase thinking it was just a bad one. The second light did the same thing. When the light does work its great. Bright, compact and ease of use, but it just won't last! I recently purchase a MINI mag LED which is awesome (ridiculously expensive) but miss the compact ability of the AMP 1.0. If only this light would last! Based on my experience I don't recommend this product

Comments about Princeton Tec Amp 1.0 Flashlight:
I was to use this flashlight in the Canadian back country. It failed the first night. I changed batteries but to no avail. I had turned the light on 3 times; when I initially put in batteries after purchase, when I tested it the first night prior to night fall and when night fell. Then nothing. If you purchase this buy another brand as back up. I should have read the reviews prior to purchase.

Comments about Princeton Tec Amp 1.0 Flashlight:
I have had two Princeton Tec products, both of which have failed at some point after less-than-rugged use. The AMP 1.0 is probably the worst product put out there by this brand. After FIVE uses (maybe 15 minutes of run time) the light simply stopped working. Tried fresh batteries—nothing. Then I noticed a slight rattle in the light cluster (the unit was never thrown or dropped). It looks like a cool, rugged little light but this brand simply doesn't back it up with quality. NO flashlight should fail after only five uses. If Princeton Tec fails with something this simple, why would I pay more for their bigger, more "premium" products? I simply would not recommend.

Comments about Princeton Tec Amp 1.0 Flashlight:
I have had 2 Princeton Tec LED flashlights over the past few years. Although they had great battery life, decent light output, and were comfortable to hold, BOTH lights failed at about the 1-year mark. The lights were gently used, and never got wet. There was never any indication of battery leakage or damage to internal parts, nor were they ever dropped onto a hard surface. Both lights just suddenly quit working. I will not be buying any more of their flashlights. Steer clear…
