Comments about Avid BB7 Disc Brakes - 160mm:

These are the best mechanical disk brakes on the market - no question about it. However, hydraulic disks have better modulation and feel. The advantage to disks are that they are cheaper, easier to adjust pad contact and simple. If you are an avid rider, I would recommend upgrading the rotors to Alligator Serrated or similar - you will get better modulation and lose a lot of weight per brake.
