Tri-Align Caliper Positioning System™ aligns caliper perfectly without shims
Features inboard and outboard pad adjustment knobs, rigid 2-piece forged body and tool-free pad replacement
Integrated cable stop prevents routing cable and housing from entering the brake at odd angles, reducing the possibility of cable drag
Spring tension can be modified with an Allen wrench, sold separately
Easy cable anchor bolt means no barrels or threading the needle; same as a rim brake

Comments about Avid BB7 Disc Brakes - 160mm:

These are the best mechanical disk brakes on the market - no question about it. However, hydraulic disks have better modulation and feel. The advantage to disks are that they are cheaper, easier to adjust pad contact and simple. If you are an avid rider, I would recommend upgrading the rotors to Alligator Serrated or similar - you will get better modulation and lose a lot of weight per brake.
