The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

I LOVE these caps. You really do get the best of both worlds - the convenience of wide mouth to fill and clean plus the comfort and spill-proofness of a small mouth bottle. I've now used them for years and couldn't revert to the plain Nalgene anymore.
My only beef is that the colored small cap sometimes absorbs dirt and grime over long camping trips and becomes stained regardless of how hard you scrub it. This doesn't affect the function, but I wouldn't want to bring the bottle to work anymore with a brown stained lid!
Solution: have one for the city and have one for the trail!

These caps were gifted to me for my boys. I use these on their Nalgene water bottles that they use for play and lunch boxes. We have had ours for over 3 years and they have held up great. I wash them in the dishwasher over and over and I see no deterioration in the plastic or rubber. It still seals well and looks good!

These things are great! Allows you to keep the big opening so you can still fill your bottle with ice or powdered energy drink mix, but makes it MUCH easier to drink out of. The plastic ring that goes around the rubber drinking cap can be a bit sticky, making it a bit fussy to remove, but other than that it's perfect. It works for all REI and Nalgene plastic water bottles, even the big 64oz one. I would like to see the same product made with a flip-cap style.

i wanted a splashguard insert for my klean kanteen widemouth, but they were a bit smaller in diameter than the bottle opening. i saw this hanging directly above the splashguards, tried out the fit, and it was perfect. sure, pricier than a splashguard, but without the hassle of it falling in or out of your bottle (as has happened with splashguards when trying to drain ice). and the added "nose room" benefit which i had never thought about. RIP, narrowmouth bottles.

I love my wide mouth Klean Kanteen, but I disliked the fact that it constantly dumped water down my front when the bottle was getting close to empty. If I'm hiking and it's hot out a little spilled water is no big deal, but when it's cold out or when I'm in nicer clothes I don't care to have a bunch of water all down the front of me.
The packaging didn't mention that the capCap would work for Klean Kanteen, but since it said that it fits "other wide mouth bottles" I decided I was desperate enough for a solution to give it a try.
I have been using the capCap for over a week now and can only say that I wish I had stumbled across it sooner. It fits like it was made specifically for Klean Kanteen and I love that my bottle is now a combo of wide mouth and narrow mouth.

I love this idea, but the smaller cap at the top tends to stick more tightly than the larger cap on the bottom. When you turn the top cap to take a drink, the bottom cap is the one that opens. It defeats the purpose of having two caps! I find myself going back and re-screwing the bottom cap and using a lot more effort to get the top cap open.

Once I finally found em I Purchased 2 of the capcaps via REI. Fast ship btw.
1 green was obviously defective upon receiving. 1 email directly to Human Gear service/warranty got it IMMEDIATELY resolved.
Outstanding service!
I took my oldest 1L hard lexan nalgene replaced the old cracked lid &put it straight to work.
So far this cap/nalgene combo has withstood constant use while in light Forestry
Construction
Outdoor/property chores
Kayaking
Hiking
Better than widemouth original that it doesn't spill out the opening when ur walking. I had tried a narrow mouth bottle also but its hard to clean, dryout, or add ice. Black mold formed too quickly.
So far I,ve dropped capcap combo over 20' a few times, and "tossed" it further.
I wash it every few days.
Had a camelbak flip straw recently gifted to me but the bite valve wears out quik (as does other moving parts), easily grows mold and if dropped in sand or whatever its compromised. Also hot drinks can build up pressure and jet stream down ur gullet. Straw is easier to replace than clean when stained. Not to mention I get a headache trying to pull large amnts of drinks thru it.
Overall the capcap suffers from none of that and it delivers alot of drink @once! I dont use anything else
theres no washers or seals to fail.
AND imo HumanGear is a phenominal company that seems to care about customer experience.
I will be giving capcaps as gifts to my ecotourist friends and a buddy @the Nature Conservancy knowing if theres a problem it"ll get a fair listen.

I love these caps because they increase the useability of wide mouth water bottles. They allow you to keep the wide mouth opening for adding ice or treating water with a SteriPen, but then you can use the narrow opening for drinking and pouring. No more dumping water down my chin when I'm just trying to get a drink! These caps are not lightweight so I wouldn't use them on a backpacking trip where every ounce counts, but for everyday hiking and excercise, these are great. I've had mine for several years now and they've taken a beating but still work perfectly. In fact, they may be completely indestructable, so choose a color you won't get sick of.

A must have for a Nalgene water bottle. I use it daily at the office and also take it on camping/hiking trips. Dropped it a few times and it has held up well. I did notice a few stress marks from over tightening the cap but it has not caused any issue with function.

I can't believe Nalgene or CamelBak did not figure this out first. I have both products in the big mouth 32 oz versions. With Nalgene I have always disliked the "spills while trying to take a drink on the go" issue, but I love the big mouth for ice and cleaning purposes. I decided to switch to CamelBak with the bite valve and big mouth option. Didn't work for me either; moving parts break (bite valve) and was not as easy to clean; plus I am not a big fan of sipping from a straw. Then I found this cap. It's absolutely perfect in form and function. No spilling while drinking, no sipping or moving parts, and absolutely leak proof. With this cap on and the bottle full, I can throw this in a bag sideways or upside down with no leaking. Seriously, why didn't the big two come up with this? No matter, as Humangear came to the rescue. The top small spout unscrews with about a 3/4 turn (about 270 degrees from tight), which is great as I really dislike the "turn cap 3 or 4 times" to get the top unscrewed to get a drink. This cap fits both bottles great. Humangear hit a homerun with this product.
