Comments about Planet Bike Micromite Mini Pump:

This pump works great. Bought this after having a cheap Bell pump fall apart on me. It does take a lot of pumps given its size. It's nice and compact and half the barrel slides up into the outer body to make it even smaller. The thing I like best about this pump is that unlike other pumps in its class, it has a metal needle assembly (not plastic). Great price. For a pump you can take with you, it gets the job done well.

Comments about Planet Bike Micromite Mini Pump:

I bought this small pump a couple days ago and just needed the cheapest pump that can fill a tire. I was skeptical since it was a [$] pump and it claimed to adapt to either presta and schrader with out making a manual adjustment.I pumped up my presta tire with no issues at all. I got it almost all the way full and then finished it off with my air compressor for ease. The pump arm is a little small so it took a handful of extra pumps but that's expected with a compact pump. It can also fit on the bike pretty easily; however, I plan on just throwing it in my pack on rides. If you want a compact pump where you need to pump both presta and schrader, this is the pump for you. I really don't see why you would need one of the more expensive pumps.Enjoy!

Comments about Planet Bike Micromite Mini Pump:

The Planet Bike Micromite Mini Pump is a low-cost pump that will get you home. It has middle-of-the road weight and is reliable.

The specs say that it will go to 100psi, but it is extremely difficult to go above 50psi (unless you want to spend 30 minutes pumping); so your tires may feel soft, but they are ridable. It has a 'high pressure' mode, but I have not found it to have any advantage over the large-volume setting.

I usually have a little trouble getting an air-tight seal on my presta valves. I have to jiggle it and re-seat it a few times. Since the pump's storage configuration is in the open position, the dust/mud cover often pops loose.

I am a 5k-mile/year bike commuter. Since switching to Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, flats are rare. For the 3-4 punctures I have a year, this pump is a good fit because of its weight, reliability, and cost. If you have more frequent flats or cannot live without higher psi, you should find a different product.

Comments about Planet Bike Micromite Mini Pump:

I commute to work and keep this with me in case of a flat. It is nice and small and convenient, also seals well at the valve, but it is very, very difficult and tiring to get the psi up to an appropriate level.

Comments about Planet Bike Micromite Mini Pump:

This pump fits nicely in my small saddle bag. It's not very good for every day use, but when I have a flat it does get my tire pumped up enough to ride home, though I can't get it up to a full 80 psi for road riding...or maybe I haven't been patient enough to get it to full pressure...it takes 10 minutes to fill my 29x2.0" tires up to about 50 psi. But since I only use it a few times a year to fix a flat out on the trail it does what I need it to and I do appreciate the compactness.

Comments about Planet Bike Micromite Mini Pump:

I only use a hand pump as a backup and prepump to a co2 inflator. This day and age with very good co2's, and some paint ball companies selling 12 gram non threaded co2 cartridges for .50 cents per if you buy 15 or more per box. Why spend the time and effort to pump up a tire to 90 psi with a small hand pump. I just hand pump the tire up to 30-40 psi first then use the co2 inflator to get it up to 130 psi. You can also spend around $2.00 and get the 16 gram co2's at another retailer and get it up to 120 with out pre pumping it. I'm very cheap and I like to put alittle air in the tube first anyway. I prefer the Genuine Innovations ultraflate plus co2 inflator the best. It uses both 12 and 16 gram threaded or nonthreaded cartridges with a trigger to regulate how fast and how much air to put in. I also bought the deluxe kit that includes a bag and repair kit along with 3-16 gram co2's. Brucear
