Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
this product will mount on the frame not limited to seat post like most others. this is great for smaller bikes where a seat bag may hide it due to space between wheel and seat.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
This a a bright light, very visible from a great distance. However, as a city commuter, I need to keep a light mounted on my messenger bag on the light mounting area. Normally I zip tie a light there. However, I wasn't able to find a good way to secure this light on my bag with zip ties or rubber bands. Every time I thought I had something secure, the rounded shape of the light allowed the zip ties or straps to fall right off.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
I am so dissatisfied this light is going back. It is very bright when viewed directly from behind but side visibility is almost nil. The light only mounts vertically and you have very limited mounting options. If mounted on the seatpost of my road bike, it is hidden by a seat bag. There is no way to securely mount it to rear racks. AAA batteries are OK, but there is no Lithium battery option for longer life. Using a coin to open the case will lead to a cracked case or split water seal. Actual rating is two and a half stars becasue of these problems. This flasher is good only for Rails to Trails type rides where you want your riding partner know where you are, not for safety as poor side visibility makes this light an unwise choice for commuting.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
I bought this for commuting and I am very impressed with the brightness and visibility of this light. However, the mount design is AMAZINGLY STUPID. The light itself has a plastic belt clip which then allegedly clips into various proprietary brackets which are NOT INCLUDED with the light. I wanted to mount this to my rear bike rack so I had to BUY the special bracket specifically designed for this purpose. You would think it would work given how much they charge for this bracket...but NO. The light can be displayed either vertically or horizontally on this bracket but if you mount it horizontally (which is what most people want to do), it is designed to be OFF CENTER! Really?!! they couldn't figure that out?! Also, it supposedly clips into the bracket but this clip is not by any means secure and any bump will knock it off and there goes your investment in this overpriced, poorly designed product.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
This light is really bright. So bright that I usually turn it off on the trail so I'm not blinding those behind me. I have a cheap not as bright alternate flashing light that stays on at all times for more tunnel vision jarring affect. I initially balked at the price but after seeing someone else with one, I ran out and got it. I ride in very dark and rainy areas and this is the best light I've seen yet. I use the seat post mount and as long as it's good and tight, it's solid and works well.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
You WILL be seen if you use this light. This thing is BRIGHT. I hook one on the back of my helmet sometimes. When I wear a pack cycling at night, I hook one back there. Maybe not reliable to stay on the frame or a solid surface on the bike -- but if you throw a rubber band on the mounting clip and over the frame or rack to which you attach it, it'll stick. And it has a bonus use: I hook one on the back of my ballcap (on the adjustment strap) when running in the city at night.
No matter what you get, you are going to lose your light or it is going to be stolen, so you don't want to spend too much in any case. These are inexpensive, work well and . . . did I already say this . . . you WILL be seen.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
I am an early morning small town commuter and absolutely love this light from a safety perspective. It is an extremely bright flashing light, you can't miss it, and I have not seen any other product that compares to it, regardless of price. Great product.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
This rear strobe is far brighter than any other rear light I have purchased (I have about 7 others). Definitely visible from a very wide angle at night or in daylight. It is so bright that my riding friend does not want to follow me when it is turned on - even in daylight. I intend to buy two more for my trailer.
As with all rear lights some imagination must be used on occasion when mounting to anything other than a seat post or trailer frame tube. I found the mounting to be quite flexible with my imagination when I screwed it to a pre-drilled hole in my rear rack.

Comments about NiteRider CherryBomb Rear Bike Light:
This lamp is so bright. It works great. Battery life seems pretty good as I've not replaced it after 3 months of 2 to 3 rides per week after dark. The mount was not great. I end up having to do some real work to attach it, removing reflector from back rack, bending the rack mount up, and cutting off most of the lamps mounting system. That said its solid now though I'm not mountain biking with it either. The lamp is totally worth it but it make take a bit of engineering to mount it to your bike
