Comments about Nalgene Everyday Grip-N-Gulp Tritan Water Bottle - Kids' 12 oz.:
We just purchased these for our two toddlers (the plastic is BPA free.) My 17 month old dropped one in the driveway unnoticed. My hubby accidentally drove over it with his full bed diesel truck…the bottle was a little scratched but in great shape with minimal damage.
That’s one tough cup! If it can withstand being ran over by a truck – it can survive your kids!

I had the opposite experience of the previous reviewer. My kids love it and request it even when we are at home. It is a good transition to a traditional nalgene for kids and I had none of the problems of the previous reviewer...it fact I have no problems and love it. They are used daily. I am a mom of two boys 4 and 6.

Comments about Nalgene Everyday Grip-N-Gulp Tritan Water Bottle - Kids' 12 oz.:
It's very hard to suck from this bottle. And, it has no air intake except slowly letting air in AFTER you suck from it. Unlike other odor-free Nalgene bottles, this one has a disgusting, persistant artificial sweetness added. I can't wait to take it back.

Comments about Nalgene Everyday Grip-N-Gulp Tritan Water Bottle - Kids' 12 oz.:
We've been using our bottles for a couple of years now, and they've certainly proved their durability. I use my bike for all my in-town errands--usually with the kids in tow--and I like how the bottle fits snuggly in my bottle cage (none of the regular sippy cups we've had would ever fit without rattling around). Also, the cap is the same size as found on wide-mouth nalgenes; when our oldest felt she was too old for a sippy-lid we were able to replace it with a standard one.
We never found the bottles hard to drink from, and after the kids got to the point where we didn't fear the bottles falling over constantly, we took out the "stopper" which allows more liquid to pass through (the bottle will leak slowly if tipped over without it).

I bought my daughter one of these cups about 1 and a half years ago and it instantly became her favorite cup so I bought her another. They are still both in great shape and I will be buying my 1 year old one shortly so they won't fight over whose is whose. The only thing I would suggest is buying extra inserts for younger children because they tend to wear out and cause leaks.

My one year old son commutes 35 miles one way to work with me everyday. I hand him the water bottle and he can toss it, chew on it, hold it in his feet, and best of all he drinks from it - all the time. It never leaks in the car, washes easily, and he loves to drinking from it. I was having concerns that he wasn't getting enough water to drink unitl I got him this bottle. I can easily see how much water he has had at any time. I plan to get them as gifts for all my nieces this year.

This is a very very nice sippy cup. But I needed a cup the kids could get a good swig of water out of. The flow of water is very small so you cannot get a good draw ie: a "Gulp". This product would be very good for small kids, my 3 and 5 year olds were too advanced for it.

I think there are too many gearheads at Nalgene instead of parents because of the design on this bottle. This is a very sturdy bottle, what do you expect from Nalgene. The lid stays on very well and does not leak, but the plastic one way valve/plug leaks and falls out one impacts or by shaking the bottle vigorously. We only put water in our bottle now... yes we still use it. When the plug is in and you hold the bottle upside down it leaks. We have had the bottle for over two years now and have always had problems with the plastic valve falling out on impact, but the leaking only started about a year ago. I would recommend finding another sippy cup.

I stumbled on this product when my nephew was visiting and lost his sippy cup. I have since purchased ones for nieces, nephews, friends and now my own son. The cup is sturdy, easy to clean, holds more than most toddler cups, and kids like it because it is similar to the water bottles the adults use. One change would be to provide additional color options (my niece misses the pink).

I bought this cup for my 17 month old nephew because it was BPA free. He was intrigued by it instantly and insisted we fill it up right away. He loves this cup. His parents (and I) like it because it holds a larger capacity than most sippy cups, so it doesn't need to be refilled as often, yet it still fits in the car's cupholders. Also it looks a little more mature than the typical sippy cup. So far, it has even held up reasonably well to all the chewing he does on the spout.
