The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
I've only used the Strawberry-Banana flavor. I like the flavor. Per other comments posted, I can see how if you're into chewy treats that you could really chow down on these. I use them as a mid-ride calorie replacement. The thing I really like about this product as opposed to gels and drinks is that the chews don't make a mess.

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
Watch out these can become very addicting. I have only purchased the Straw-ban flavor. Its very easy to finish off the package easily. These do provide a slight boost / pick-me-up. They pack well, I use these mainly for when I am out playing paintball on long days.

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
I recently tried the Gel Blasts on a five-mile run. I ate one at the beginning of miles 2, 3, and 4. I usually only drink water on my runs, and I noticed that I was able to run at a faster pace and felt less fatigue than I usually do when my run was complete.
The Gel Blasts were extremely tasty. However, I found them difficult to chew, even when taking a short walk break. Because of how much easier it was to run, I think they're worth the trouble. I'd highly recommend these Gel Blasts to anyone who participates in a high-impact activity.

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
I may have a serious problem on my hands. I cannot stop eating these things. It's not possible to open a bag without finishing it. The straw-ban with caffeine are tasty, and they will perk you up for sure. I like the chewy consistency. Some other energy chews from comparable brands are like mush. Gel blast are easy to handle and are not sticky at all.

Use them in long triathlons when nothing else goes down anymore. Als they are a nice power blast for short work-outs.

Fair product. If I was looking for something to eat at camp, they would be a nice treat. I wouldn't use it if you are looking to pound down some energy fast. Try breathing, chewing them and hiking in a 50mph wind on a ridgeline...

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
I think the Raspberry gel blasts are great! They have a great flavor and there is some gel in the middle the oozes out as you bite into it. It's not too sweet, nor does it taste artificial; I don't like those tastes or I wouldn't like these. They are chewy like a gummy candy, but I like that about them. As far as giving a boost of energy...I can't really tell, but they do keep me from feeling woozy as my sugar gets low while running long distances. I only eat 2 after an hour of running, then another every 30-45 minutes. If you read their directions and do as it says then they help with keeping your energy up.

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
The marketing "guru" of powerbar dropped our team favorite flavor of cola (and lemon) for these new flavors. The cola tasted like a coke bottle gummy candy. Our team tried the raspberry and thought it was horrible. We haven't tried the strawberry banana yet but my guess is we will be looking for a new brand or going back to gel packs.

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
My teeth get stuck in these, my jaw actually hurt after eating a whole package (which is 2 servings). The flavor is good and the oozy gel inside is interesting flavor. Left a pack on the dash in the sunshine and they melted and had weird chemical reactions and were no longer edible--not good in the heat. Also big enough that if swallowed by accident, you'd be likely to choke.

Comments about PowerBar Gel Blasts Energy Chews:
I tried the lemon flavor and was quite disappointed. The taste reminds me of lemon cleaner. Also, the picture on the wrapper shows a liquid gel squirting out of the center, but there is no such thing in the center of these. They are simply like a gummy, but a little tougher to chew. They are edible, but just barely.
