Comments about Bogs Classic High Insulated Rain Boots - Kids':
Just an update since my initial somewhat disaPPointed review pops up first for this product (and my revised, more positive review is hard to find down the list of reviews): the replacement boots -- that were readily and graciously shipped to us by BOGS almost a year ago when I contacted them directly to let them know about our experience with their boots for kids for which we'd had such high hopes -- have lasted much better and I STILL think they are the perfect storm of a boot for kids here in the Pacific Northwest, serving as year round rain and snow boots.

When I bought these boots for my active boy in 5/09, I wanted to sing it to the sky how terrific they were. Warm enough for winter here in the Pacific Northwest, yet not too hot for a rainy day in June of which we had fewer this year. Soft, flexible, fairly lightweight for a rainboot and immediately wearable ... I figured he'd get this coming winter out of them (he just turned five). Imagine my dismay and despair then late last month when I saw both heels worn down to the under-layer. They are not leaking yet but it's only a matter of time. I still think the design is smart, the neoprene/rubber combo -- just disappointed in the durability of the rubber, especially for the price.

I have wide feet and I usually wear size 7 1/2 or 8 in womens shoes. I was able to fit into womens size 8, but bought a pair in size 6 instead since they're a little cheaper and fit the same. I've never heard of Bogs until REI's anniversary sale this year, when i saw a pair of purple ones on the shelf for 30 bucks. I decided to try them on, just for fun, and I instantly fell in love with them. I ended up buying these in black at regular price. They're warm, they're roomy so my toes don't squish together, the sole is soft and comfy, they're easy to walk in (compared to other cheap plastic rainboots), they're okay for driving. It has been pouring here in Seattle and these are amazing! I wear them to the grocery store, when i walk the dog...haven't gone on any heavy adventures in them yet, but i steppted into a few deep puddles (to test for any leaks) and my socks and feet stayed dry :) the handles make them easy to slip on (i wear them over my jeans). my sister is in college and she walks around campus in the rain so i bought a pair for her as well. She's usually a size 9 womens, and i bought a pair of Bogs in size 9 for her.

My children have gone through about two sets of boots per season, but these boots are well worth the money. They last forever. As an extra bonus, they work excellent as snow boots.

We bought these for my 4 year old son after he outgrew his last pair of rain boots. We expected two summers out of them and maybe be able to hand them down to the younger son, like we have with his other rainboots. But they wore out within the first summer! The sole is soft which might be fine for playing in the mud, but they are too soft for jumping in the puddles in the sidewalk and street. They wore out too quickly.
It would have been nice if they didn't have the handle holes either. They were'nt needed for pulling the boots on and they effectively lower the boots water-resistant height.
My son did think they were confortable.

I panicked when I saw the weather report the morning of my son's cub scout camping trip in Nov. Rain! Rain! Rain! I ran to REI where I bought the size 5 kids Bogs boots & had my son try them on at lunch time. It rained all Friday night & Saturday morning. Boy was I glad I bought them! Most kids had hiking boots where the mud was coming up over the top. My son's feet stayed warm & dry.
We live in Southern CA & my son continues to wear these boots in all the rain we've been having. Can't stop a 9 year old from jumping in puddles!

I am an adult with size 4 ladies feet and couldn't find waterproof boots anywhere. I found these BOGS in a kids size and they fit great. Most kids shoes just don't fit right or are not supportive enough but these fit well. I'm glad I found them. I wore them non-stop for 5 days in marshes and on a rainy flooded island and they worked great. Usually a kids 2 - 2.5 is a women's 4 but a 3 fit well. When I arrived home they were great for the snow as well.

Bought 1st pair 3 years ago for my then 3 year old. That pair was used by him for one year, by my next child for one year, now onto my 3rd child! I keep buying for my oldest and handing them down. On 4th pair!!! (oldest now 6). My kids use these daily from October through April and they have worn great for me. Good for rain and warm enough for hours of snow play too. My kids can put these on themselves starting at about 2 years old! Helpful when trying to get out the door with 3.

We live where there is a considerable amount of snow and snowmobile 3 miles to get from our house to our car. We love these boots in the deep snow, and also when spring comes they are unstoppable in the mud. These are a great all purpose boot, very comfortable and very warm! Our whole family owns a pair and will continue to buy as our kids continue to grow! You cannot go wrong with these boots!
