Comments about Baffin Outback Winter Boots - Men's:
These boots looked promising as a potential extreme-cold boot that would actualy be comfortable for walking/hiking/snowshoeing. Not too heavy, tall, or stiff, excellent sole. Warm and waterproof. But the fit is only suited to those whose feet are quite narrow in the forefoot/toes. The inner boots fit like pointy-toed cowboy boots. This did not change after hours of wearing only the inners around the house, as suggested in the instructions. I will unfortunately be returning these for a refund.

Comments about Baffin Outback Winter Boots - Men's:
Tested extensively in the mountains of Eastern Siberia, I found these boots to hold up very well in the extreme cold. They are lightweight, waterproof, and provide excellent traction in snow and on frozen rivers. They are very comfortable; like wearing a pair of light hiking boots. The rubber construction makes them waterproof, and they still remained flexible, even when it was -50 C outside. They don't breathe well, but have removable liners that can be dried in your sleeping bag or by a stove at night. I used these with the Tubbs Mountaineer snowshoes and found them to work nicely together. An attachment point for gaiters would be a nice improvement, but otherwise I'm completely satisfied with these boots. My feet never got cold in these boots. Bottom line is that they are great boots for snowshoeing and hiking in extreme cold weather, and look good enough for using around town or activities such as ice fishing.
