Comments about Merrell Chameleon Trek Gore-Tex Shoes - Men's:
I was looking for shoes to walk/hike in fall to early spring when the snow isn't deep enough to warrant snow boots. These were a little pricier than I hoped for but they are meeting my needs. They look great, totally waterproof so far--although they could be more breathable, and they are grippy on the ice and slush--although this means they will wear out faster on concrete/asphalt. Tread is more aggressive (cleat-like) than street/casual shoes, more geared for the trail. NOTE: These fit tight at first--took several days to break in, still feel a tad on the narrow side, but they feel more and more comfortable with use.

Comments about Merrell Chameleon Trek Gore-Tex Shoes - Men's:
Pricy but these shoes are very comfortable and keep your feet warm. I hate boots so I got these for winter camping. Contrary to what the previous review said I think they are boarder line ugly. You'll look like a tool wearing these with shorts but I bought them for winter so that’s not an issue for me.

Comments about Merrell Chameleon Trek Gore-Tex Shoes - Men's:
My those shoes look nice, and why yes, they are quite expensive. But I know from experience that Merrell makes the most comfortable shoes....no contest! I also know they are built to last.
I wear these to work every day of the year, and don't need to go home to change shoes if I want to go play. A little bit hot in the summer, but they are excellent for the long winters of Montana. Plus they are excellent travel shoes because they can handle any situation and still look good. Their simple design is timeless.

Comments about Merrell Chameleon Trek Gore-Tex Shoes - Men's:
Live in these as a FedEx deliverer. I wore out competitive brands in 2 months; had these for 2 months and expect them to last at least a year which greatly offsets the cost. Great water proofing, however when wet they can be very slippery when stepping onto tile floors. Also use the shoes recreationally. They are great for disc golf; tread design gives me the same traction on concrete tee pads as well on grass/dirt fairways.

Comments about Merrell Chameleon Trek Gore-Tex Shoes - Men's:
When I first put the shoe on, it felt great. I may have overdone it however. After 4-5 hours, my feet were sore. I didn't expect that from a shoe that felt so comfortable.
It took several weeks of wearing the shoes a few hours at a time until I could wear them all day at work. They seem to be a little stiff in the toe box area.
