Comments about Eagle Creek Guide Pro Bag:
I received the Guide Pro as a gift, after asking for it, to use as a small in cabin bag for air travel, to hold some basic items including a small paperback, cell phone, charger, tickets, pens, candy bar, etc., and possibly a small point and shoot camera. In particular, I bought to avoid having to access the much larger camera backpack that I commonly bring. I might also use it for day trips in a city. It is much too small for the "Ten Essentials" one needs for hiking, and does not have a place to hold even a small water bottle.
Actually, most of the time, I will be using it as a small MEDICAL instrument bag, holding a stethoscope, ophtalmoscope, reflex hammer, tape measure, sensory testing gear, and a stroke management reference...then emptying all of that out when I do take a trip!
Construction quality is like anything else Eagle Creek, top-notch.

Comments about Eagle Creek Guide Pro Bag:
Excellent carryall. In fact, I bought two because of Eagle Creek's habit of doing away with popular items.
I realize that it was designed for a safe travel bag but it would have been nice to have the front and rear pockets gusseted so that it would hold more and make them easy to access.
One of the side pockets is so tight it is almost useless.
