Great Maps for specific areas

These are great maps for specific areas. If you are going to take on a long hike they might be a little impractical just due to the cost. If you are going to stay in the area of one or two maps though they are great if they get a little wet its not a problem, they really don't tare easily. the biggest thing I love is the trails printed on the map, it makes it so much easier to find exactly where you are. The one downside I have with them is the scale. It is a random scale 1:40,680 so if you use a UTM grid reader it will not work with these maps (Except Rocky Mountain National park which is a 1:50,000 scale). It is a slightly annoying issue unless you really like plotting exact locations on maps in which case a USGS map would be a better choice for you. For your average adventurer I would highly recommend any of these maps. I am only going to write a review for this one map because the rest of the maps are pretty much the same.

Best planning maps!

I love these maps for planning a trip. Most of the time we never have to take it out while on the trail but it’s great to have in camp to figure out a day hike or two. Or to show others where we are in comparison to where we were?! Great detail and super durable.
