The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Planet Bike Super Flash Stealth Rear Bike Light:
Good light from Planet Bike, but not quite their best choice. First, photos are confusing; this clear-lens light looks like it blinks white for a headlight flasher, but its three LEDs actually blink in red.
BEST choice for high-visibility tail light is still their original SuperFlash model, same price, with white body and red lens. This model is, oddly, the identical light but with the red lens inexplicably replaced by a clear lens. Odd because there's no advantage, just the opposite, there's an obvious loss in removing the red lens from the tail light. In both 'flash' and especially 'steady-on' mode, the red-lens SuperFlash is a brilliant full-red light similiar to a motorcycle or auto tail light. In this 'stealth' version, only the actual LEDs are red in color, like tiny Christmas tree lights; the lens is clear, so no red multiplier effect on the LEDs. Side by side, the original SuperFlash is much more effective, especially so in 'steady-on' mode. Honestly can't imagine why they would make a be-seen bike light that's LESS noticeable than their bestseller model.
So for the same price, weight, battery life (long!)etc, buy the original Superflash from PB. PB is pairing this Stealth model with their very good Blaze headlights as a set; too bad they don't currently offer the original red-lens Superflash as a pair with the Blaze. So avoid the Stealth, buy the Original Superflash, you'll be glad.

Fantastic light, super light, amazing battery life, wonderfully bright. Almost perfect, becomes a little unreliable in the rain-when really wet, unit can shut off. Worth it anyway.

Comments about Planet Bike Super Flash Stealth Rear Bike Light:
This is a great bike light. It's highly visible and gets you noticed.
As a commercial driver and a bike commuter in Seattle I see a lot of lights good and bad, and this is one that I really see a lot.

Comments about Planet Bike Super Flash Stealth Rear Bike Light:
This is the clear-cover version of the regular Superflash, famed for this brightness even during the day. Regular and Stealth have red lights, but this one has a clear/black style rather than the original red/white style. The Superflash at its price is one of the best value: bright, reliable, long lasting, grabs attention even during the day. Do a search and you will see the number of people who firmly support this!

Comments about Planet Bike Super Flash Stealth Rear Bike Light:
This light and the original model are wonderfully attention-getting both day and night, remarkably lightweight and long-lasting, especially with lithium batteries, and extremely cheap compared to ultimate tailights like Dinotte.
The included mounts which let one attach the light in a variety of places, and the clip which can work on straps and clothing are superbly versatile.
In an unscientific test to compare SuperFlash models, I set up this light and the regular one (with red and white casing) next to each other during the day and at night and looked at them from a distance.
IMO it is possible the regular one is just a tiny bit brighter when flashing, but the stealth model seems a tad brighter on steady at night, and has colors that don't scream "steal me" when it's turned off.
So I wear the regular one on my helmet and keep this one on the bike, so that if I forget and leave the light unattended, it has a greater chance of being there later.
This is all-in-all a fantastic product, cheap enough to own more than one, and makes an excellent present.
(P.S. I use the two SuperFlashes when on a low bike below eye level and needing to be extra visible; otherwise I use one and carry the other as a spare--used them for years and never had one fail put prefer to have a backup, especially when commuting in traffic.)

Comments about Planet Bike Super Flash Stealth Rear Bike Light:
Used this for a year - purchased it in early Fall of 2009, used it the whole winter season, plus Spring and once again this Fall. Three times a week on a seven-mile night commute. Haven't changed the batteries yet.
Performance: BRIGHT!!! If I passed you, I'm sorry. Yes, it's quite annoying for people behind you. Which is a good thing right?! I see several commuters with this on their bicycle and I see them from several blocks away.
The design is pretty looking and it's durable. The switch isn't a simply button so you don't mistakenly turn it ON/OFF.
I ride a lot at night, and no ones has / makes better bicycle tail lights than these! Probably the BEST in the market!

I commute to school most days, 14 miles each way. I am on paved trails, dirt trails, and city roads. This light gets me noticed. Just as importantly, it's durable. I've smacked it into railings and while it may break apart, it hasn't broken. Snap it back together and I'm on my way.
I've had a number of different rear lights, and this one is my favorite to date.

Almost perfect. I have been stopped by police to give me the thumbs up, telling me how visible it was.
Not reliable under rain. It will shut off when it gets wet.

Comments about Planet Bike Super Flash Stealth Rear Bike Light:
This is a nice rear bike light, I love the fact that the whole thing is clear so it doesn't stand out during the daytime, and another added benefit of the entire thing being clear is that cars can see you blinking from the side a little better, and not just from behind.
One thing I don't like is, if you're riding down the street and you want to turn the light on...you reach back & push the button that turns it on...there's no click, or switch, or anything that you can FEEL to know that you turned it on...unless you look behind you & see it blinking.

I purchased two of these for my wife's and I's fold-up bike. Bright to say the least.
