I have the short sleeve version of this same shirt, in several colors. I LOVE it, and am about to buy one in long sleeve, because I was too late in the year to buy the short sleeve. I finally had to get rid of my light blue one, because, after 5 years, I finally wore it out, but the others that I bought in 2007 are still hanging in there. I wear these shirts to work in, doing massage therapy. I wash them twice a week and they retain their shape better than any other shirt or blouse I have ever owned. The length is perfect, as I am 5'8" and it never rides up over my pant waist, which over the past few years, has gotten lower on my torso, due to fashion trends... PLEASE don't stop making this shirt!

The quality of this shirt is not the same as last year. The fabric is too thin, and the shirt is now cut longer. Before it used to sit perfectly half way at the hips. I don't think this shirt will last after a few washes. Comparing the tag from my old shirt to this one, last year was manufactured in Canada and this year its the Phillipines. Not sure why REI messed with a good thing. Returned my purchase.

This is my second cozumel shirt and love it just as much as the first. I've had the previous one for over a year now and it's just now starting to show some slight wear. The neckline is becomming a bit stretched and the rei logo has started peeling off. I still wear it pretty much everyother day, it'll be nice to rotate between the two now :P And just as the previous shirt-cozy, super soft,warm,light weight,& ORGANIC! :)

The reviews previous to mine are for the *old* version of this shirt. I too would have given the old version five stars. This new version deserves only a two.
I've bought these shirts for three winters and I am debating whether or not to make it a fourth. Starting in Summer 2009, REI changed the fabric of the Cozumel short sleeved shirt. I've returned two of those shirts for excessive pills. REI is using this same thinner, sub-standard fabric for their winter line, which is very sad for die-hard fans.
These used to be really durable shirts and I reach for them nearly every day. The fabric was soft and very warm. Perfect for Wyoming winters. I have at least eight in five colors and the ones four years old look nearly as good as the ones only one year old. Even the cream and white ones.
If you didn't know the old shirts, you'll probably be okay with these. But for us fans, this new version doesn't meet the grade. They look great for only a short time.
Also, I wish REI would go back to the old sewn in label as opposed to the iron on black fuzzy ones they're now using on the Cozumel line. Or at least use a complementary color. It's not flattering, especially on the white or lighter shirts.

I love my old Cozumel organic tees but the ones I recently purchased are far inferior in quality. The material feels scratchy even after several washings and the fabric is much lower quality than my older shirts. The tees are not as fitted and stretch out easily. What happened?!

Love this shirt. I wear it as long underwear- the spandex forming it to my body. However I would prefer it in a v-neck as the shirt tends to ride up a bit and isn't quite long enough to stay tucked in with lots of movement.

These are the absolute BEST shirts! I have about 12 of these shirts (I buy the new colors every season). I bought my first long-sleeve version several years ago and fell in love! These are a staple in my wardrobe, as I wear one (or layer colors) everyday. They are super soft, very comfortable (doesn't ride up when tucked in jeans), the sleeves are the perfect length... above all, organic and affordable. They hold up wash after wash, year after year. And sometimes, I sleep in them because they're sooo comfortable.
