      I bought three of these shirts to take on a Mission trip to Sudan and was very happy with them. I wore them on the airplanes to help regulate the temperature. I could use them as long sleeve shirts or fold up the sleeves and unzip the sides to get better airflow. I also used them heavily in Sudan. The shirts worked as advertised, are very light weight, dry quickly, and pack down very small. I have used them since returning and throw them in my travel bag for quick get aways.

        I own three of these Sahara shirts and I really love them. They are soft, comfortable, pack light, and look good. I pair them with a tank, and unzip the vents during hiking. I got these because they can be worn as either short or long sleeve. So far, the REI clothing line has not disappointed me in quality or function.

          I wanted this shirt for work, where I need to tuck my shirts in. This shirt has zippers along the side. When I raised my arms, the fabric pulled out from waist (as shirts do) but when I lowered my arms again, the fabric stayed stiffly bowed out where the zippers were. It looked too weird. I loved the color, but had to return the shirt unfortunately.
