their comfortable, durable, warm, dry fast on the line (never dry wool in a dryer, air dry for longevity), last a very long time and have great odor control. I used to be a die hard smartwool fan and still wear their socks, but icebreaker takes the lead when it comes to their shirts and pants.

I was a little wary upon first picking these up in the store, but the sales associate really insisted I try them. I'm not usually such an easy sell but for the price tag I really wanted to see if they were worth it, and with REI's guarantees I felt comfortable trying it out.

Man, I never want to take these OFF! I initially only wore them around the city and was already ecstatic about them, but then I took them out on a three day winter backpacking trip and I really think they were invaluable. I was worried about taking breaks and still having them be wet with sweat and then starting to freeze, but it never even got CLOSE to that point. As soon as those worries came into my consciousness, these Icebreakers were dry. Let me illustrate how saturated they were: I had sweat on my pack through my Icebreakers top, my Better Sweater AND a Primaloft coat. Sweat = gone! I was never left standing cold, either. I just can't say enough about this line of products.
