Comments about SIGG Frames Screw Top Bottle - 32 oz.:
ive used Siggs since 1968 and still have 5 of my original 6-one got a tiny leak through its creased base this year after a hard fall-treat them even modestly and they will never fail (most of mine have been dropped or worse tossed and dropped, or rolled off a ledge or two down several feet-(theyre not indestructable-just very sturdy and very hard to damage in a way that makes them instantly and totally useless)
and i have about a dozen of the new beautiful ones as well-in the .6 and 1 ltr sizes and even the steel flasks (non swiss, but chinese BTW)
the reviewer who is worried about the lining is looking to create a problem where there isnt any-
i am writing because i noticed the unusually low review points -due to those unsubstantiated comments about the liner-not from his actual knowledge or usage apparently
im here after using these bottles forty years-
back in the day when sigg had some unlined alu bottles for fuel (silver) and lined for "fruit juices" (the red anodized versions) -i indeed used some of my plain alu bottles for water -and some for white gas-and my large red for water or whatever
these bottles gain character with scratches and dents (which they do get) -
they fit the mouth and hand like few others-and
have a top that seals regardless of altitude changes or position-nice for gas on hot days-or water not leaking into your tent or bag or anything else
they last YEARS
they slip in and out of packs easily (as they were designed to do) and clip to carabiners as well for hauling
in 1968 when i was thirteen and begining to climb 14ers here in CO, my oldies were purchased at Holubar a small mountain outfit -2 colors -2 sizes
have since bought one or more every years since -1996 or so when they appeared again-love the designs and the quality

Comments about SIGG Frames Screw Top Bottle - 32 oz.:
I have owned several Sigg bottles for decades and am only replacing them because they were lost when my house burned to the ground.
I don't understand all the problems with denting. With a minimum of handling care these bottles will last virtually forever. Do these people carelessly toss around everything they own, or just their water bottles?
What has graced the inside of my Sigg bottles?
Coleman fuel
Water
Orange juice
Gatorade
Brandy & rum
And more. . .
Would I recommend Sigg to my friends? Most certainly.
To the person who carelessly gave these bottles a single star in the review: From what I have read, these bottles are lined inside with a flexible baked enamel, not a plastic resin. Please either use the product or at least read up on it a little bit before giving it a bum rating.

Until Sigg comes clean about the composition of their resin liner I will not buy any more of their bottles. Other manufacturers made claims that BPA was no big deal, right up to the day they stopped selling their BPA plastic bottles . . . so the ball is in Sigg's court to be open with the public. Also keep in mind that if for some reason you scratch this lining, or it fails, you now have aluminum contacting your liquids, which everyone agrees is not good.

I've had my Sigg since February. It's been used EVERY single day as my source of water, it goes where I go, and I love it. It only con is the non standard small mouth which makes cleaning harder, and adding ice near impossible. Most water filters won't fit on the mouth, and neither would a SteriPen fit.

I love this bottle, it fits in my cup holder of my car, easy drink out of, great color! I just don't know how long the paint will last b/c it doesn't seem like it is that strong but maybe I'm to hard on my bottle. I had Nalgeans for years and this is a nice change but the same pros of Nalgean without the BPA.

I use my bottle all the time, work, backpacking and daytrips for cold drinks.
Great top that you can easily clip to your belt or backpack.
Water tastes so much better out of this than from a plastic bottle.
The down side is the top is very narrow and not easy to fill but is great for drinking from. The bottle is very easily dented, but this just adds to the bottle's character and does it no serious harm.

I got my sigg as a bday present and have used it daily since. It is attractive, practical, and I love the fact that I am not using a ton of plactic bottles. The water tastes great. I take it to the gym, use it daily at work, and have hooked it on my pants when doing some major tree trimming---I can't say enough about it

I never leave home without my SIGG bottle! I use it at work, when I'm working out, when I'm just driving somewhere... all the time! I've never had a leak. I've dropped it and it just dents. And the best part (which is why I bought it) is that it is not plastic! The only thing is that if its warm outside, the water will get warm pretty quickly. But what water bottle is going to prevent that? I also like the designs they have. HIGHLY recommended!!! I bought one for my husband and my son. I don't want anyone to use plastic anymore!
