I didn't realize until recently how many of these I had actually purchased over time. Or how often I had been using them without thinking. To me, they are to camping & hiking what paper clips are to office supplies.

I mainly use these to hook my Goal Zero solar panels to my pack while hiking. No matter which pack I am bringing out I have always been able to use these to attach the solar panels to the outside of my pack to charge while hiking. They have never come loose even while bushwhacking through heavy brush.

I stick to using these to secure lightweight gear to the outsides of my pack or for general use around the campsite. They have never failed to deliver. In fact, I just bought four more today to keep in the SUV just in case Murphy decides to strike when I'm not looking.

I'll be honest -- I bought them because they're beautiful, elegant simple design. Light. Small.

But they are not any good. DO NOT DEPEND UPON THESE THINGS TO HOLD ONTO ANYTHING IMPORTANT.

I'm going to throw them all away, but only after I smash them all flat with a hammer, so no one who might ever find them will not use them. I've got them all off my pack, too late to smack them now but I'll do it tomorrow.

Real bummer is that I gave some of these as holiday presents -- I bought some friends stylish junk that they should not use.

This is a nearly perfect keychain. I love how easy it is to slip keys on-and-off, and I love how easy it is to clip onto my belt buckle, bag, or whatever is handy. However, that same ease of use makes this a very risky keychain as well. I find keys are able to come off unintentionally throughout the course of daily use. It doesn't happen every day, of course, but enough that I would think twice about recommending this keychain to a friend. Instead, I would suggest that the manufacturer redesign the clip so that one half doesn't open and close quite so easily.

I love these. They are a tad fragile, the wire bends a little bit but I'm sure that one could hold over 10 pounds. You can use them for everything a normal caribiner is used for, just a little more neat. I'm buying more

Great design, however doesn't fully deliver. I used in the ocean and immediately started to see corrosion. Will go back to using carabiners I contacted manufacturer, their only advise is to clean immediately when exposed to salt water.

A better Mousetrap. If you need to clip two things together - this design is so simple. No need for two carbiners if things are large. Thousands of uses!!! Spring seems like it will last forever.

Fabulous product. I have all of the sizes and give them a gizmocity index of 8.9. If the keys are placed on a small ring, the s-biner makes a great keychain.

I bought this with the purpose of using it as a key ring, so I could easily remove keys needed when running. I tried it this morning, and the design is such that the retentive lever easily moves, and keys came off the ring in my pocket. It could have been disasterous, but I found the loose keys deep in my coat pocket before arriving at work. Don't use it for this purpose.
