Comments about Swany X-Cell II Gloves - Men's:
As you may notice, I really like these gloves. I tried on many different glove designs by different manufacturers that just did not feel right or fit well. These gloves felt right in every way from the first time I put them on in the store. The price seemed high, but I wore them around some and eventually decided to make the purchase. I'm glad I did and will really appreciate the years of warm, dry comfort these gloves are sure to provide! They certainly work for me and might just be what you are looking for as well!

Comments about Swany X-Cell II Gloves - Men's:
Sturdy, well made gloves that appear to be actually waterproof. When wet these gloves take a long time to dry. They are not windproof and not remotely warm enough for winter conditions. Not suitable for wintersports. My hands freeze on a 20 min bicycle commute at 0 C. Not an extreme temperature if you ask me.

Comments about Swany X-Cell II Gloves - Men's:
The sales person raved about these gloves when I purchased them. While dexterous, you pay for the dextarity with thin leather that will wear out within a couple of seasons. Don't expect Swaney to stand behind their product either because they won't. After a lot of follow up, I received an offer for a discount on my next pair but never got the discount code. Very disappointed. I have since joined the crowd of happy Hestra owners.

Comments about Swany X-Cell II Gloves - Men's:
I am on my 3rd pair of these gloves in only 5 seasons. The first pair I bought started coming apart the 3rd day I skied in them. The wrist cinch strap tore out after the plastic handle broke. Then the seams in the palms started unraveling before the end of the first ski season I used them. The store I bought them at gave me a free replacement. Those did exactly the same thing the following season. I was so mad that I shipped them back to Swany directly with a nasty note about their overpriced, low quality product. They sent me a new pair in return, with no comments. That pair did great.. the first season. Towards the end of the 2nd season, the palms began unraveling at the seams. The hem in the cuff is unraveling, and one of the cinch pulls ripped out of it's stitching to the glove rendering it useless. While they are nice and warm even down to around 10 deg, and dry very fast, they don't hold up well at all. I have older gloves that cost me no more than $40, are just as warm but have held up for 10 years better than these do for only a couple seasons. They're way overpriced for how long they last, and I paid around $80 for them. Now that they're trying to get [$] for the same glove, I wouldn't consider these for a second. I ski 30-40 days per season but am very easy on my gloves. For the price, these should be much more durable. One of my friends bought the same gloves and has had the exact same problems so I don't think it's not an isolated issue.

Comments about Swany X-Cell II Gloves - Men's:
My use is probably different than most but hopefully the experience will be helpful to others.
I've been through 3 pairs of gloves trying to find some that are up to the task of going ~50 MPH with morning temps in the teens for 30 minutes - commuting on two wheels.
All of the other "cold-weather" "windproof" gloves proved to be less than advertised. Until finding these gloves my finger tips were stinging cold after 10 minutes and achingly cold hands after 30. This was in temps at or just below freezing.
I was about ready to invest in electric gloves but decided to give these a try first and to my happy surprise they have kept my hands completely comfortable. They are in a league of their own, far superior in terms of warmth and wind resistance to Outdoor Research and Mountain Hardwear.
They are definitely wind and waterproof, insulate very well, stay dry inside, and are the most comfortable pair of cold-weather gloves I have ever used. Riding in much colder weather now than the other gloves would have been up to and my hands are still comfortable.
The pockets on the back are great for holding small things that need to be readily accessible, and could be used for chemical hand warmers if needed but so far no need.
They come off and on easily and the gauntlets work very well. It is a good design.
Bottom line - these will keep your hands comfortable and useful in conditions others can not.

Comments about Swany X-Cell II Gloves - Men's:
Overall good glove. I don't know how the one review can state that they think the glove is not warm. I ski both east and west coast in temperatures well below zero and have never had a problem with this glove. I am actually looking for a glove that is thinner and not as warm to use on average days. My only complaint is that the glove is somewhat bulky, but the bulk and construction is what leads to the incredible warmth.

I use these for everything...including skiing. While I thought I was crazy spending this much on gloves, I expect to reap the multi=purpose dividends over the next several years.

Comments about Swany X-Cell II Gloves - Men's:
Tried several "Motorcycle" specialty gloves and this is by far the best. Don't have to break them in, comfortable and keep you warm on a winter morning 4:30am, 35deg outside, 80 mph. Love them.
