I will use these pants for backpacking in cold weather.

They are sublimely soft and warm. I love the zippered lower leg/ankle, and pockets.

According to the fit chart I am exactly size 10 (medium is 8-10), so I figure buy a size bigger (I bought large, size 12-14) so I can wear as an outer layer. The waist is a bit loose, but they are small in the seat. When I sit or bend over the back waistband rides down 3 inches or more. I guess I better wear pretty undies, because they're going to be on display!
