The Patagonia Retro-X jacket takes both the wind and the chill out of windchill.

It's windproof/breathable barrier comes sandwiched between cozy recycled polyester Synchilla® pile and a Capilene® brushed-mesh lining
Full-length zipper is backed by a storm flap
Stand-up collar protects your neck from cold breezes, and the Lycra® spandex binding at cuffs and hem seal in warmth
Zippered hand pockets are lined with a moisture-wicking brushed polyester mesh

Love this jacket! It's not too technical, no pit zips, no soft shell, no drawcords, no hoodie, no stretch material. This jacket was not meant for any of these features. Just a classic heavy duty windproof jacket. I'm about 5'6", 140 lbs and got size Small. The sleeves are perfect, pockets are deep, and the length is slightly lower than my waist. There's no inner pocket though but I don't care.

At 5'8 and 175 pounds everything that fits through the shoulders is to long/boxy and if it fit well elsewhere the shoulders are tight or the sleeves ride up. NOT THIS FLEECE. I bought a medium and it has enough room through the shoulders to layer a flannel or a hoody without feeling tight. It stays down at my waist and down on my wrists even when I'm stretching or moving around and on mornings in the 30's, even in strong winds, it's been the only outer layer I need to stay warm and toasty.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday...and he LOVED it! I couldn't be more pleased. It fit TTS, and looked great on him. He said that he has gotten a ton of compliments, and has been wearing it walking around campus every day (it's been 20-30 degrees here in Ohio). Plus, he said that it is really wind-resistant. Overall great purchase, definitely worth the money :)

I've had my Retro-X Jacket for 5 years and the only visible wear is in the elbows from where i drive or sit in class. It's not waterproof but this jacket will keep you warm even if it does get wet! Well worth the money!
