The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Patagonia Down Sweater - Men's is rated 4.6364 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Versatile I have two of these "sweaters". One I wear on camping trips the other for around town. While camping I wear under a shell. The only downside to these jackets is that they are fairly fragile - thus a shell. It's not water resistant (at all) and is not advertised as such also not very wind resistant - once again the shell fixes that. With a base layer underneath and a shell over the top this jacket is good down to 0 if you're active and about 30 if you're just hanging out. My "dress" version is great for around town adventures unless it's raining - then I just don't wear it. I'm 5'8", 170, reasonably fit - I wear a medium and it fits perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slim fit, right 3 seasons belay jacket I just finished plugging the holes in mine with repair tape (Tenacious variety), so there you go one con: while indeed ripstop it still is fragile enough to be kept well away from any ice tool, screws, etc. Use it while belaying or in camp only, also because it's practically not breathable at all. Finally, it's waterproof for about five minutes and then it quickly goes down to sopping wet and zero insulation. One downpour taught me to carry it in a compression dry bag and treat it like the ultimate survival item. Evertything else it's been said here about fit, warmth and lightness is very true and hence I still highly recommend it. Experience: used two over two years, lost one in a crevasse, took the other on several summits and ice climbing routes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Jacket An amazing jacket. Light, warm, and has excellent movement around the arms. Spent three hours snowshoeing in 15 degree weather and thought the jacket's performance was top notch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Just Remember To Size Down! Great Jacket. I also own the beefier High Loft Jacket but I wanted something lighter to wear between Halloween and Christmas when the weather is in the 30F to 50F degree range. The interior zippered pocket is great for iPhones/Blackberries/Andriods and chapstick. The outer pockets are designed to sit inside the down baffle so they are warm when used. I'm not sure why the other reviewers were expecting this to be waterproof and durable. I never heard Patagonia making waterproof down sweaters nor is this implied in the words'light down sweater'. At best you can use it as an insulating midlayer under a tough rain shell. One gripe I have is the fit and tailoring are really huge on these sweaters. I am 5'8" 157lbs and the size small in this jacket fits me like a medium in all other Patagonia jackets. The cinch cord on the hemline helps wrap it around my torso or otherwise I would be in an XS. My only other issue is the exterior shell is poorly DWR treated so it picks up dirt and oil from your skin and other stains super easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, Warm and Oh So Comfy I've only had the product for less than a month but I absolutely love it. I primarily wear it during my commute to the train station and then to work (about 60 mins of walking). It's light and warm and so far good in the wind, too. I like the fit around the neck (fairly snug) which negates the need for a scarf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upper end of satisfied Other than the lack of durability, this jacket is pretty much perfect and as described. I suppose Its hard to get that desired durability when trying to be lightweight. I firmly support the purchase to anyone though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent, and extremely comfy piece This is, for the weight, a very warm jacket. I wear the coat all the time and it has held up well. I live in Alaska and have seen some cold weather while in this thing. With a light fleece on underneath it I have been comfy while the temp is 32 degrees F and with a base layer and heaver fleece I have stayed warm while out in 0 degrees F, both of these times I wasn't very active. I have taken it dog sledding and been drug along a frozen river, it has had the sleeves drenched while deep sea fishing in the pouring rain, it has kept me warm while my car warms up on the way to college. It also works great as a pillow. It keeps the wind off well and is pretty durable for its weight, none the less I would recommend trying to avoid abrasive surfaces and sharp objects. It does dry out decently quickly but if soaked it will lose its insulating properties because its down. Additionally, just like anything else made of lightweight nylon, avoid fire and really hot objects like the plague, unless you like holes in your jacket. Overall I love this jacket and will buy another one when this one goes, just make sure you don't abuse the jacket too much and it will last you a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm Jacket Overall, really like the warmth of the jacket. I have other items that are Patagonia and the Large is what I wear, but the Large in this jacket is way too big. I would recommend trying on before buying it. Besides that, I really like that it is light and really warm.
