Comments about Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves:
I've owned a similar power stretch glove made by Marmot, and I really liked them, but they have been hard to find lately. So I picked up a pair of these. They fit great, and the power stretch material provides good warmth for what it is and how thin and light they are. I also like the snaps that MH incorporates to keep the gloves paired.
The first thing I noticed is how bad these gloves fray. Especially along the fingertips and along the seams. Once they catch on velcro they frey. So I question the durability over time.
Other than that, they perform pretty well.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves:
Snug fit helps keep you warm, which is a good thing, because the fabric won't. Good in a cold car, but wind goes right through them outside. Not very durable, a seam split and the fabric pills easily.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves:
I have worn these gloves for quite some time, and mostly they are the simple everyday gloves. I use them for walking the dog, driving, being out when it's chilly, etc... They are not completely wind proof, but do offer good protection for a hour or so; any longer and I pull out the all weather glove. They are great as liners for any type of ski glove.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves:
I use these for backpacking in the early mornings. They keep your hands warm without being sweaty. The only negative is when I have to get water and they get wet they take awhile to dry. You should buy them a size larger than other gloves.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves:
I bought these at the suggestion of an [...] associate for warm-weather hiking. They are comfortable, snug, and fairly cool because of the power-stretch fabric, but this comes at the expense of grip. They are SLICK! You can look forward to dropping every map or other piece of equipment you try to handle. Used as a liner these would probably be awesome but as a standalone glove they're pretty poor. I lost mine after a few hikes so I can't comment on durability.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves:
I bought these just before Christmas. I only wear these to and from work on a commuter train and bus, so not exactly a rough workout for them. After only one use, the stitching on one finger seam started unraveling. I cut off the flyaways and hoped it was a fluke. After two weeks, nearly every fingertip and finger had strands of stuff everywhere. Maybe fine for a liner, but don't even think about wearing these on their own. I returned them and got a refund. As usual, no hassles from REI.

This is light weight gloves with stretchy materials, without the bulk of heavy gloves. I use it for cold morning run or spring ski. You can wear it as casual outing on cold brisk days.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves:
Very good fit and comfortable. I bought them to replace smartwool gloves and use as a liner in a shell. I think they are not as warm. I would give a 3.5 if I could but not a 4
