Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
These gloves are pretty simple. They don't have a lot of pattern/color/trim which is what I was looking for. Unfortunately this carries over to the palm, where a small leather patch is all that provides any grip.

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
Great everyday glove and also out in the cold on the trail. I use them as a liner if needed but most of the time just by themselves and they keep my hands warm

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
These are my favorite midweight gloves I've found so far. I absolutely love the goat leather palms - they add traction, warmth & strength. Great to wear alone - they are an excellent barrier to the cold and the wind. Though not waterproof, remember, they claim only to be midweight. They are thin enough that I am able to do detailed woodworking in them in my oh-so-cold garage in the wintertime, allowing me enough flexibility to shave, carve and embed while keeping my fingers warm enough that they do not freeze up from the cold. In very cold weather, where I am going to be spending extended time outdoors, or in biting rain or snow, I just wear them underneath my regular gloves. I've owned mine over a year now and they have yet to wear out. They do get dirty, and to better sustain their life expectancy, I hand wash and line dry them. I've done below freezing camping in them, and plenty of winter hiking and casual use. On a final note: Not only are these Black Diamond Midweight Gloves practical, warm and well worth the [$] price tag, they look sleek, cool and contemporary. They meet the high demands I've come to know and expect from Black Diamond products.

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
I really like the fit of the glove and the fact it is thin and not bulky. They are good to drive with and light weather. My fingers do get cold nut again a light glove

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
The seams came apart in several different places after a few months of use. They are not very warm, so if it's below 45 degrees you may have some cold fingers on your hands...

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
I love these gloves to wear around the city and to hike in. I live in Seattle, and tried several gloves before these, and have to say they are the best.
They are windproof, which is the key in wet-humid climates, look slick for city attire, and fit tight enough so they don't feel bulky. They also kept my hands warm in cold Colorado temperatures (where I'm from and originally bought them). I have small hands, but long fingers, and the men's medium fit me perfectly.
These gloves are highly recommended for someone looking to buy everyday warm gloves that manage to be somewhat cute at the same time. Enjoy!

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
Good liner for the price. Works well by itself while skinning or skiing warmer days. Also a good liner paired with thicker gloves/mittens. Like the leather palm. Also very dexterous. Not the most durable for rock climbing.

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
Whatever you do....do not get these wet. The leather palms retain an incredible amount of moisture, and once wet, these gloves provide absolutely no warmth. They protect a good deal from the wind, but again, once wet, you're going to lose feeling in your fingers in a hurry.
Use as a liner with a waterproof shell, or in dry conditions.

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
I've had my first pair for a couple of years. Very nice for running in winter. I also wear mine backpacking. Excellent fit for me (small). Both index finger tips wore out at the same time. I'd like to see a bit of extra reinforcing on the tips prviding that doesn't affect the comfort. These are really very comfy gloves and I'll be buying another pair

Comments about Black Diamond Midweight Gloves:
I took these on a NOLS course and was very disapointed with the quality. The seems on three fingers came apart and around the base of the thumb. I will not take these out in the back country again.
