Comments about Petzl Signal Safety Light:
I pretty much use this light exclusively for night running. It seems to have good visibility, but maybe could be a little brighter. It is very lightweight and compact. It pairs great with a Petzl LED headlamp by clipping on to the headband.
I feel it is a good rear signal light for running where you are not necessarily in the road, but see it as a secondary warning light for other activities like cycling/biking.

Comments about Petzl Signal Safety Light:
I bought one of these on clearance because I figured it would make a nice, lightweight bike light. Unfortunately,it's not bright enough.
The light is tiny and weighs nothing. Between the clip and the band, you get a myriad of mounting options. The dual coin cells give the red LED's a long life. But it's just not bright enough as an only light. In 'steady' mode, just the rear LED is lit. It's bright if you're looking at it straight on,but with just a little angle it becomes less noticable. In flashing mode you get all three LED's blinking, but again, they're pretty dirrectional so it's only bright at certain angles. I would not recommend using this as your only rear light for cycling on the road. That's not to say this little light doesn't have it's uses. It makes a good auxiliary light for extra visability when coupled with a proper taillight. It's small size and slight weight make it an ok backup light to carry in case your main one fails. It would make an excellent marker light for group night rides off road where it would be bright enough to follow without blinding the person behind you. And it would do well for a jogger on a MUP/trail to make you visable to cyclists coming up from behind. Used for these purposes,it is a nice little light.
