      We used this guide to plan our vacation to Hawaii. Never having been there we wanted to find the best beaches and places to take our two teenage boys. Instead of wasting time researching our trip on the internet we turned to No Worries which contains charts that graphically compare all the islands. It recommends a multitude of hikes, best places to snorkel, all the beaches, has maps, color photos on almost every page. An outstanding feature is its organization and the fact that the authors have individual books for every island. We chose Maui and bought the Maui Trailblazer which goes into even more detail. Passing it onto our niece who is using it to plan her honeymoon.

        This was the tool we used to plan our honeymoon. We wanted to see more than one island and NW got us to winnow our decision down to Maui and Kauai. Avoiding crowds and finding the wild beaches is our style and their short self test honed us right in.

        For the price we really got tons of good advice and tips that made us savy travelers. (We didn't let the concierge talk us into taking the all-day boat tour - more expensive, half day was plenty and alot less money). The telephone directory in the back was handy for us since we valued their take on which helicopter companies were best. They even rate hotels they like.

        Hawaii turned out to be a dream vacation and we have loads of photos to prove it and remember it by.

          Best thing about using the Kauai Trailblazer: stretched our vacation dollars. Supercharged our days with hundreds of trailheads. No other book had all the wild beaches listed with exact directions how to get to them. In retrospect, we feel lucky we picked up on all the recommendations these authors had to share.

          Unlike most other guides, these guys update the entire book regularly and do all the footwork themselves. Hikers, you will be in trail heaven. Be sure to kayak the Wailua River and check out the secret falls.

            Worth every cent. These authors certainly know every corner of Hawaii. Both of us read it cover to cover and got a thorough education: environment, customs, culture, must sees and do's, insider tips.

            Knowing what to expect when we landed made all the difference. We had so many questions before we left and No Worries had almost all the answers. Kauai was a good fit. We liked the logical step-by-step approach and little self-test that helped us to decide which island. Comparing all the islands side by side sure was an eye opener. The photos inside of Kauai also won us over.

              We used this guide primarily for planning our itinerary and as a checklist while we were on the Big Island. It is written by authors who obviously scoured every plausible recreational site on the Hawaiian Islands and have first hand insight and advice to share. So much useful information is inside along with beautiful pictures.

              The organization of information is what makes this book special. If you're looking for the best island to snorkel you'll find it and you can follow right along for best hiking, best beaches, etc. A real gold time for those of us who want to know it all before touchdown.
