The GSI Backpacking Cook System equips two people with everything they need for a gourmet adventure.

  • Set includes two polypropylene bowls, two insulated mugs, nonstick aluminum pot with polycarbonate lid, nonstick aluminum fry pan and a pot gripper
  • Mugs nest securely inside bowls, which in turn nest within the 2-liter pot; pack a stove and fuel (sold separately) within pot for compact transport
  • Color-coded mugs and bowls prevent mix-ups
  • Lexan® polycarbonate lid is lightweight and nearly indestructible; integrated strainer is ideal for use with pasta and steamed vegetables
  • Flip-up tab on top of lid makes for easy lid removal
  • Folding pot gripper locks to and removes easily from exterior bracket on pots; gripper design prevents scratching of pots
  • Teflon® Classic nonstick cooking surfaces on the 2-liter pot and 8 in. fry pan speed cleanup and are scratch resistant
  • Included stuff sack doubles as a sink or wash basin

        Comments about GSI Backpacking Cook System:

        This cook set is a great idea. Unfortunately, it isn't put together very well. I've used it a number of times and have come to the decision that it needs to be returned. On the very first use, the flimsy plastic folding lid top broke off. Since then, it has been lost and getting the lid off is difficult. Even worse though is that after several uses, the plastic lid top has melted all around the edges. No, it hasn't been subject to excessive heat. Just normal wear and use. Long story short, the poor construction of the lid ruined the whole product.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          This is a great camp cook set for two or maybe even three people. Somebody can eat out of the pot right.
          The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because the lids are really hard to get on or off. Maybe these will become easier with more use, but I envision hot coffee all over myself.

            This has everything you need for two people. The kitchen sink is extemely handy and makes clean up easy. Food doesn't stick to the pot and pan. The cups make enjoying coffee in the morning pleasent with the lid to keep your hot beverage hot and a thermo insulating wrap on the outside.

            We love GSI!
