Comments about Arc'Teryx C40 Chalk Bag:
I'm new to climbing and wasn't sure if this bag would work well, but after using it, I'd highly recommend it.
I have somewhat larger hands and they fit in the opening of the bag this with no problem and allowed me to cover my hands with enough chalk to keep the climb going. The best part about this bag for me was that it stays open so that when I need quick access to chalk, I wasn't struggling to get my hand in. The chalk stays in the bag, even when I've fallen.

Comments about Arc'Teryx C40 Chalk Bag:
This is a good chalk bag but it is not for me. I have larger hands than most of my friends, and this is a very shallow chalk bag. which is good for large hands because you do not need to get your hand in the bag to get chalk. However because this is a shallow bag any time i would step off a large ledge or jump off anything my chalk ball would fall out of the bag. Basically if you use loose chalk instead of a chalk ball and dont mind a shallow bag that will stay open than this bag is for you.

Comments about Arc'Teryx C40 Chalk Bag:
This chalk bag is definitely on the small side; however I have large hands and was able to easily access the chalk. The rim is rigid enough to stay open and tilts slightly down. So, it is much easier to reach in compared to the softer chalk bag that we have. It's also nylon on the inside above the closure string rather than fleece. I find this to be much cleaner when the bag is closed. It looks as good or better than it does in the photo. Bottom line, great bag unless you want a bag that holds lots of chalk.

Comments about Arc'Teryx C40 Chalk Bag:
I bought this Chalk Bag because I liked the look of it. Besides size, it's really the only thing that distinguishes them. After using it for around two years, there were two things with it. First, the belt it comes with is nice, but you can't remove it. I wanted to be able to clip my chalk bag to my harness, but didn't want to have to cut the belt. Secondly, my chalk bag didn't fully close when the drawstring was pulled tight. I have looked at other c40's in stores and they didn't seem to have that problem, so I am assuming it was just a defect, and that's why I didn't give this product three stars. Besides those two qualms, I loved it. I would recommend it as long as you don't mind snipping the belt for harness attachment.

Comments about Arc'Teryx C40 Chalk Bag:
I liked this bag, when it worked. The opening is large, the plastic ring keeps it open and accessible.
It didn't fully close.
It broke, twice. The bag requires a lot of force to get it to fully close. The first bag that I had broke when closing it. The grommet at the opening broke off of the material, and it never closed again. I replaced the bag, and the second one broke in the same place within about half of the time as the first bag. I returned it, and got the plaid prAna bag, which I love, instead.
