Comments about Red Chili Spirit Rock Shoes:
These shoes have the aggressive last of the La Sportiva Katana but are MUCH more comfortable. I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel and these things fit me like they were molded to my foot right out of the box. Also, the padded tongue and somewhat stretchy heel cup is nice. They feel great and perform awesome. So far I have no negatives. Plus, the color is pretty dope, you won't ever get lost wearing these babies.

Comments about Red Chili Spirit Rock Shoes:
The rubber is unbelievable the best you can get.
I really like the fitting, take it a bit smaller then your real size is, and after a while, thanks to natural leather it fits perfectly to your feet - AND will not stink.
I even like the wonderful colorcombination of blue and deeper blue and the nice design.
I prefer them for the really long climbs, especially granit - cracks - and for slabby plates.

Comments about Red Chili Spirit Rock Shoes:
I bought these after using up my 5.10 Anasazi VCs.
First climb I did was three pitches of 5.10+. Edging, smearing, or jamming were all great. The performance was comparable to my Anasazis with a catch. I can wear these all day without taking them off. They are as comfortable as my running shoes. The Anasazis were brutally uncomfortable. I had to take them off at every belay and I still didn't want to put weight on my feet at the top of a long climb.
With the spirits I put them on and just climb. I don't even have to think about my shoes till the end of the day and it's time to go home. I think if I wasn't worried about trashing the shoes I'd drive home in them too :-)
Oh, and did I mention they are a screamin deal?

Comments about Red Chili Spirit Rock Shoes:
I owned the older version of these, which had more aggressive toes (bent downward and sharper). Those were great for tough problems, but the toe area was narrower. This new version of the Spirit has a bit wider toe area, which makes it more comfortable. The toe isn't as pointy, but it still functions just as well. For me, the size seemed to run about a half smaller, but with uses, the shoes eventually became a snug fit.

Comments about Red Chili Spirit Rock Shoes:
These shoes were a surprise for the price. They fit well and they performed even better. The shoe now fits extremely well and has a good - broken in feel to it that is not usual so soon for a shoe.
Downside - they give my foot a little bluish tint - but maybe that's an upside instead...

I thought these were great shoes until they started coming apart after two months. Rubber de-laminating and stitching failed.
You get what you pay for I guess.
