Comments about Lafuma Patrol Junior +40 Sleeping Bag - '07 Closeout:

We went car camping with our four girls who range in age from 8 years to 18 months. We got them each one of these snazzy little bags for this trip. Overall the bag worked pretty well.
The build quality of the bags was solid, but the zippers kept getting snagged which should be a pretty important design concern on a kid's bag.
The kids all liked the little stow pocket inside the bag and put a little LED light in there, but they often found the pocket hard to find because it was the same color as the inside of the bag.

The temperature at night was only in the 50's but they each needed a blanket on top of the bag to stay warm. This was in addition to footy pajamas.

Overall, it was a good bag that packs well, but the temperature rating is a little generous, especially for little kids.

Comments about Lafuma Patrol Junior +40 Sleeping Bag - '07 Closeout:

Last trip was to a parks cabin about three miles in. I only put heavy/bulky, because for the age range of their intended users they could (IMO) be lighter and should pack smaller. Kids should be able to pack most of their essentials themselves and if they need an adult pack to do so, well... They've also used them camping the the yard (c. 40 deg.) with no comfort complaints.

Tip: Get a left- & righthand zip to make one big one so kids can share warmth.

Comments about Lafuma Patrol Junior +40 Sleeping Bag - '07 Closeout:

Very compact in its stuff sack; lightweight for easy backpacking trips, away-camp, sleepovers; soft fleecy lining warm for cool (not cold) nights - BUT, zipper pulled apart after two camping trips (10 nights total). Returning immediately. Disappointed. Would have been a very good value had it been functionally durable.

Comments about Lafuma Patrol Junior +40 Sleeping Bag - '07 Closeout:

I got this for my 2 year old daughter so she would have a sleeping bag for 3 season (limit is lows in the 50's) car camping.

I didn't look closely at the size. I'm 5' 8" and it would be only a little short for me. This is a bag she will be able to grow into for some time.

This is a very nicely constructed simple sleeping bag.
        It packs reasonably small
The felt lining looks very comfortable for my little girl.

All I have to do now is figure out how to keep a toddler in her sleeping bag.

Comments about Lafuma Patrol Junior +40 Sleeping Bag - '07 Closeout:

We've used this bag for our son for the past couple of years both car camping and backpacking mostly in summer/early fall (even up in Newfoundland with night temps in the low 40s.) I usually set it up with a light weight liner, both for warmth and to keep the bag somewhat cleaner than my child!

We have no complaints. The zipper has been fine. The bag has been warm enough. He loves the inside and outside stow pockets, although I agree that they would be easier to use if they were a contrasting color. You certainly can't beat the price!

Comments about Lafuma Patrol Junior +40 Sleeping Bag - '07 Closeout:

We have had this bag for a year or two, but have only used it camping once. I was mostly drawn to it because of the price and colors (my son's favorites). It definitely is not warm enough to stand on its own as a camping sleeping bag, even in the summer (unless you live somewhere very warm).
