Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I use these socks on all my runs. I recently completed a marathon in these - in the rain. I had one small blister in my usual spot, but other than that, these socks remained snug and comfortable. I've logged a few hundred miles on 1 pair and they are holding up pretty well with only slight pilling on the heels.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I had been searching for a good running sock for quite some time. Anything more than 3 miles in any cotton sock would give me blisters. Doing some research I found these and tried a couple pair. The first two pair lasted me over 300 miles. They finally started wearing-out around my normal hot spots on some of my toes. Never had a blister though. As I have started to run longer and longer distances I noticed that my hot spots come back around mile 8-10 so I'm trying the PhD Running Light (instead of these Ultra Lights). They seem to work well so far.
These socks also work great for traveling. My feet never get too hot on airplanes or long car trips.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
Not much to say. I have returned 5 pairs between my son and I because of worn-out heels(the last pair was only two months old!) That being said, I love the Smartwool brand. They feel great on the feet. Snug (without being tight)and fit great. Most of their lines are well made...except the PhD line. I have had no problems with the Hikers and light hikers. I only wish that Smartwool would make a larger sock for big feet like mine.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
Have been addicted to SmartWool socks for 10 years. Just discovered this style: Surprisingly perfect for running. Tried them first on a 10-mile run: not one issue. They stayed in place. No adjusting necessary. Store was out of women's PhD styles, so I bought this: Works fine for women. Even looks creative with leather sandals when out and about. Especially perfect for people with feet that perspire frequently. When I discovered SmartWool, I pitched all cotton socks.

I bought these socks based past performance with smartwook hiking socks and skiing/snowboarding socks. These socks work real well. Ran 10 miles in them recently and had no problems. Socks feel like they will be durable.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I was so excited to get these socks after reading all of the rave reviews. I was very pleased when I tried them on and used them - great fit, great support, stylish, etc. Unfortunately, I only wore them for about 2 months at 1-2x/wk before they started to get thin on the bottoms. For [$] a pair, they should last a lot longer than that.

I wear these socks on my trail runs. They are comfortable and durable...so far. They did shrink a little upon the initial washings, but still fit fine.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I love these and purchased them a couple weeks prior to running a marathon, as my usual custom. I am an in-between size, so it took a couple washings to get them to shrink down a bit. They were a bit too large, and bunched, when I first wore them. I wear them for everything.
